I saw simple minds top of the pops début with this song this week on BBC four last night.

The only good thing about the ITV version of the chart show they did not give away what video they were playing apart from a teaser the following week.

Do you have any of the specialist charts from the chart show like the heavy metal/rock, indie and dance charts ?

This looks like it's from either the 29th May or 5th June edition of 1987.

Si Harris Actually Dance was the 29th May. They changed the order so that Dance came right after Indie (which was on the 22nd as you can see). On the other hand, it could've been on the 5th June (or 29th May) - but on the Top Ten. Goodbye Stranger peaked at 9 on the official chart.
