    I actually analyzed that game and it was 95.5 accuracy from hikaru vs 95.9 accuracy from that guy. I bet he was using an engine or he was a super gm in disguise like hikaru

    @@mabel3989 yeah, i play the Alekhine's defence (i go from low to high 1600-low to mid1700 in 30 min chess) and u should play c6, not take. only a cheater or a weaker than 2100 player would take and take, i reckon, but idk it could well be legit

    With the magnus vs kasparov debate. Do you think it makes a difference that magnus came later and has looked at kasparov's games and learned from his ideas and, more importantly, had the opportunity to study and prepare using extremely strong engines?

    Magnus benefits from the entire world of chess knowledge, kasparaov, other greats, engines, etc. So comparing them is hard, you can compare relative performance but then you have the complication of more modern players competing against a bigger world of chess players. So even if say, Fischer had the best relative performance, he was competing against less total humans trying to get good at chess. Outliers in the past are going to be more common than now.

    7:55 The public versions of AlphaStar is very severely restrained. At its max strength, without handicaps, then it would absolutely dominate. Even its limited versions peaked at like 1000 APM (Actions per minute). Just imagine a human preforming 16-17 individual actions per SECOND.

    8:34 doesn’t Nd1 win on the spot, threatening mate on f2. As far as I see I don’t find any defense. I checked if white has a perpetual and I think he hasn’t as Qxf5+ then Kg8 and after Qd8+, we can play Be8 ,blocking and there is no more checks

    There is still bishop check. After that, the white king can go to g2 and the checkmate threat no longer exists. So it's always best to start a mate with a check instead, but it is still winning for black by a landslide of course

    The chatter asking if Hikaru and Magnus could team up to beat AlphaZero made me want to see a match similar to Kasparov's in '99 except it's the entire world with the aid of traditional engines and unrestricted collaboration vs. AlphaZero. It could also be cool to see an AlphaZero vs. The World simultaneous event where anyone can play a game which will be used to train a version of the system to play against players of known ratings.

    I thought the Englund was solved? I watched a video on it and haven't lost to it since. Just play into it, move the bishop back and Nf6 and there is no play left for white, a bunch of traps for black and worse case you are equal with white when the main line ends.
