I've been unemployable all my life; even when I did work for that 10 month period of my life aged 16, they knew they made a bad decision in hiring me. So I thought "maybe I should just start my own business", but after months of research it seems I'm not cut out for that either. I serve no purpose and it sucks to know that. I feel like a loser.

Not at all Steve. Everyone has a purpose and you will find it soon enough. But don't beat yourself up because the finding time for everyone varies. Colonel Sanders of KFC found his at 60 years of age. Thomas Edison failed 9,999 times, etc. Every failure takes you closer to your purpose. So, don't worry, you're on course. 🙂
