This is side that is rarely discussed. I've been looking at changing my career and going into this field at 45. I was looking at home health, when you mentioned your experience It gave me some chills. Never thought about having to deal with a patient and then having them pass away. This still wont change what I want to do, but it's nice to know. Thank you

@@AntonioSanson I hope so!! I worked so hard to get all As since they only take 23! I also did the max of observation hours. My daughter (8) has asked me every day "did you get in yet?" So...this is going to feel like forever lol almost as bad as "are we there yet?"

Thanks Antonio!! Would love to see a video of what your thoughts are on the medicare adjustment, (only reimbursing 85% starting in 2020)? If I am not mistaken... and what that impact will be on a PTA's yearly earnings, and perhaps some ways I could make up the loss. I am in finals week in Neurology, and heading into my first clinical rotation July 1st as a SPTA!

New England institute of technology in RI it has no prerequisite. two year trimester program it’s awesome

Hey Antonio, what do you know about the RC 3-11 and the effects it will have on PTA's? I'm not too sure of what's been going on with that legislation but from what I've gathered it has some practitioners worried and creating uncertainty about the future of PTA's.

For the prerequisite classes you need to take to get into the physical therapy assistant program do you think those could be taken at night?

What is the difference from a PTA or a PT and a athletic trainer?

Athletic trainers focus on performance related to your sport which could include things like workout regimes, weight lifting, form, etc. athletic trainers do not need to have certification or degrees to hold their position. PT’s and PTA’s on the other hand need to go to school and become certified in their state. They focus more on bringing patients back to “normal” in terms of pain or body movement. PTA is the assistant to the PT.
