Use a different coloured marker! Black first and then red and even a blue. See where the lines are in relation to first mark.

I would have, but the bloody hole was too small for a sharpie. The market they give you have a ridiculous tip 😫😂

Gary You should have used a putter ramp/rail to test whether the balls stayed online/moved offline as this would be much more consistent

Suggest a future "unbalanced" ball is a balanced ball with the line drawn at 90° to the actual line of balance.

I have one of these, I use Snell MTB Prime or Sugar Pure golfballs and I put each one of them through the balancer. I only use the line when putting, I don’t line it up off the tee. I’m not a great putter but I do think these lines make me feel more confident when putting.

@@garymartingolf I think the speed in which the ball leaves the tee probably wouldn’t influence a slightly off centered ball nearly as much as putting, if it really makes a difference at all.

Great show guys, i use mine on my pearl and A class lake balls, i line up off the tee and to putt, i guess every little bit helps in the mind, weather or not it comes through the swing, keep them coming mate.

@@petekenny3774 Hi Pete thanks for the advice, maybe the guys could do a show regarding this, and it really is a price thing, so if new cheap balls are better than cheap expensive lake balls ,that I'm sure will help many of us that golf on a budget.

We will compare a good quality lake ball verse new ball in the same price range! Great idea for those on a budget.

I use a marker ( thin fine tipped art pens from amazon) then use a ball line marker to put a short line in the clear patch of the ball with a permanent marker and then wipe off the rest of the marker for the best results 💪💪💪

Never seen that gadget or even heard of that gadget Gaz but I do like these videos

Cheers TT. I think theres got to be something in it, to optimise the way the ball flys off the tee, but I don’t think a human test could prove anything, it could be the difference of a yard or two.

Great video however you should have used a larger number of lets say Prov1's as other reviewers have commented that not all of them are balanced. Also the pen is propriety as a Sharpie wont fit into the hole

You’re not the only person to feel this way, however, I have made a discover about Ali Express that surprised me. Real brands are actually using them to sell their products and I thought it was all fake!

Nb there are 2 models and the bargain one is good but not as good as the black and red pro is the best to go for👍

You need to mark the ball a second time... as you both say, as it slows down it loses its spin plane.

I dont think I could be arsed to take the time to do that with every ball I carry if I'm honest. I use q-star divide balls anyway and so far I've never had a noticeable issue with them.

I think you’d have to be very particular and geeky to want to do this all the time too. It’s a gadget for someone, but not me lol

A few years back when Callaway were having issues with their balls I was using Chrome Softs and my wedge game from 100 yds was unreal. I tried several big brands and none came close. When I heard about the off centre cores I tried floating balls in a bowl and marking them. It made no odds. After Callaway cured their core problem (40+ million Dollars they said it cost) The Chrome Softs were never as good for me !!! The main thing to remember with golf is there are too many variables. Starting with the person, clubs, balls, lie, weather, grass so a very very slightly wobbly ball will make little odds.

I agree this is going to make very little difference, but some people are a bit geeky and they like to make sure no stone is left unturned.

You can do the Tyke Test by dropping a ball into a solution of Epsom Salts and water. You can find the balance point with that and its CHEAP 😉

@@garymartingolf It was all the rage on GEA (Golf Equipment Aficionado's) 15 - 20 years ago Gaz. Paul Hemlin from The Golf Show (another Tyke) did a vlog on it a while ago. Check out KZread there'll be a few on there showing how it's done...bet they're all Scots or Tykes 😉

New or used ? I think if they’re new and round, in conclusion, this balancing is very very fine tuning, and I wouldn’t be that particular myself.

Boys you need to follow the instructions. Wait until the green light stops blinking and is on constantly for 10 secs.

Surely a bad ball is one that comes back to the line ? A perfect ball should have a perfect line in a different place each time or am I wrong?

Now try salt water float test to find the light/heavy side.

Read the instructions - website👍👍👍centrifugal force at optimum spin rate for centre of gravity . Slowing dowm loses it I have used this for years and driving and putting - 100% from 4ft putts to driving off the tee 💪👍🙂 Prov1 Prov1x , left dash still need to be centred

I guess the question is how do you use it to benefit your game, i suppose using the line to putt with would help, but i dont see how you could use it to benefit off the tee etc...

I think the idea is, if you line the ball with the centre of gravity line, it will give you the purest flight. Unfortunately, I don’t think a human test could prove anything as our inconsistency would outweigh any benefits from a better aligned ball. This test would need a machine.

As the ball slows it will oscillate back off centre.

You did not Mark the ball when it told you to you marked it when the green light was solid in slowing down

Always fancied trying one of these. Theres a female american KZreadr who's forever testing balls....might pick up some tips from her videos 🤷‍♂️

That machine is used for finding the true roll for putting

The tm ball gaz they just put the line thier mate not balanced ...itd be easier for them if anyone is that concerned dont buy them balls ....jury out for me gaz on that machine 🤷
