This show really hit different for me because I’m from the us and growing up I never saw or even knew much about South African culture. My biological father is from Zimbabwe but his dad is South African and I’ve always been curious about there. I hope one day I can visit, and learn more about my culture

I live in North Africa and after watching this show I've became more intereseted in South Africa's culture and language especially Zulu ,it's insane cuz I live in Africa and I don't know much about it that's frustrating because online platforms,school system and others don't give us the chance to learn about it as they do about Europe/America. it seems like something I'm going to do it my own .can't wait for season 2 .Stan for all the cast. 🤍❤

Chris is soo good..in season 1 I did not like him coz I thought he was just being difficult..but he did so well on season 2 I actually started to understand him...and that all he does is look out for his friends. Blood & Water is like the original Generations' spinoff. So many actors and actresses from Generations appear in the series. The lady who plays Ntombi (the same lady who plays KB’s mom) on Generations is related to the Khumalo case, and her character's name was Ntombi Khumalo on Generations. KB’s name is Karabo, which is also the name of a character in Generations. The lady that Sibusiso Dlomo married is played by Zikhona Sodlaka (Sam's mom), Fikhle's "adopting" mother was on Generations for a few years, Sello Maake ka Ncube who plays KB’s dad was on Generations for a few years as well. Gail Nkoane Mabalane (the lady who plays Puleng’s mother) was on Generations The Legacy. So many more people too. This seems too close to not be connected to Generations in some way.
