You should look into the Kenneka Jenkins case. It's very recent about a girl who "accidentally" walked into a walk in freezer in a hotel, got "locked" inside and died. She was at a party at the hotel, but everything just doesn't seem to add up, there's multiple surveillance videos and videos from the party and times stamps that just don't make sense. A lot of people were saying she was set up and that she had been murdered or that the hotel was behind it cause apparently the hotel owner sells organs on the black market. It's so bizarre. You'd find it very interesting.

apparently all the neighbours in the complex actually all know the uncle did it, but because of his dangerous gang affiliations no one is brave enough to speak up (understandable, as its likely the uncle would have sent people to have the people who talked slaughtered too) and the children were murdered as payback for their parents owing the gang money for something drug related

So he murdered their kids as a revenge to end their bloodline as he knew Mrs Tan had sterilisation done (In east Asian culture, not having an offspring to continue your bloodline is a family shame) and he knew the kids would open the door for him when he visits like they often do" As for why Mr and Mrs Tan would not report the uncle is apparently they were involved in drug activities and the uncle is in a street gang. If the Tans were to report the uncle to the police, he might "rat" them out and they would get arrested. Dealing drugs in Singapore gets you the death penalty even till this day. No neighbours would report the uncle for fears of being a target of a gang, Which explains why no one is willing to provide any information to the police and also that granny so happen to be "washing her hair"'

Apparently Uncle was actually in a gang, a mob. There was a dispute about winning money that uncle had won, but the mum & dad said they never purchased the tats ticket, that they forgot. When they bought a mini van Uncle assumed they were lying and kept the money to themselves. I'm obviously not sure if any of that is true, but it certainly would make sense if he was in a mob. Mobs back then ran the streets, corrupt police officers even. Being in a mob where they would have murdered before, they would know how to clean up after a murder and also it would explain how nobody knew anything or heard anything, and why the granny was washing her hair that day. If he's part of a mob, anybody would be way too scared to talk out of fear of their own fate.

Also, bear in mind that this was the 70s, way before Singapore was the first world country that it is today. The mobs / gangs were slowly being cleaned up but loansharks /gangsters were still rampant and if the people clammed up (which many suspected they did) , there was very little the law enforcement could do.

I agree, but I haven't seen that many negative comments? On every video that Bella posts (not just MM) the comments are 99% positive and supportive, so I have no idea why she lets the 1% of negative comments affect her. She should focus on all the people who do support her because there are many more of us than haters. That said, I am SO happy that MM is back (even though it's not called 'Mystery Monday' anymore) and I can't wait for the next episode, whenever that will be. I just hope it will not be 2 months like last time lol. I love these episodes so much and all the work she puts into them.

Maybe she didn't cheat, maybe they were friends and he thought they were something more and when she reject him he snapped. Or perhaps it wasn't her doing the cheating with Uncle, would explain why they didn't come forth with his motive or name him as a person who could have done this, it's illegal for men to have sex in Singapore, and attitudes would have been even more homophobic then.

This is so sad those poor children must have been so scared and confused knowing that their "uncle" was killing them for some unknown reason I hope that they rest in peace R.I.P...

Just found your channel and love it! I'm from Singapore and watching this video feels so close to my heart! According to my parents, this was the most high profile and heartbreaking case for years to come back in the 70s..

This left me *shook* omg Bella!! I love the way you do these mysteries, other KZreadrs randomly show gory photos or are way overly graphic in their descriptions of the deaths. It was the uncle. The Tan Family would buy lottery (4D) for the uncle from Malaysia and the uncle would come to their house to collect the money whenever they striked (basically won). However, the Tan family said that they forgot to buy the number that the uncle told them to and the uncle thought that they did and kept the money to themselves. This agitated the uncle because the Tan family bought a/two minibuses. So the uncle wanted to take revenge and kill all their children so that they didn't have any lineage/offspring which is a shame in Asian culture. The Tan family knew about this but didn't want to tell the police about the uncle because they were involved in drug activities and knew that the uncle would tell the police about them if they got him in trouble. Worried that he would get them in trouble, they kept quiet. This is because drug trafficking/posession will result in a death penalty. I don't understand they didn't have enough evidence. It's not even clear what happened of the hair samples. That's so crazy. It is very frustrating! Thanks for the video though. I love these.
