I will always remember her as that shy teenage girl who just discovered her talent. Then suddenly, right before eyes she was a beautiful young lady that nurtured and perfected her craft. Always so genuine and loving.....she gave us her heart. Such a tragedy and loss. Thank god there is all these videos and recordings. She will always be in my 💜.

I watch this clip daily. I remember watching this when it first aired in the 70's. Karen makes this song sound like a 1940's classic.I love it!! I can't get enough of Karen's version of this song along with the emotion in her voice that takes you on a journey. I love her hair style and outfit. She was always so funny and I always loved listening to her speak.Part 2 is done with her usual perfection.Richard and the band sound great.I really loved her smile and caring nature being sure to include everyone as you see at the end when John mentions cubby only. Everyone is "still listening when you start to sing " Karen. "Thank You for the music"!!! Love You and Miss You so much!

Daaamn!! I love this. I love Karen Carpenter. She was an angel out here for awareness of so many controversies. She left us at 32 years old and accomplished so much in a short time with her music. At the same time she left us with a legacy of things to come and real love she passed on to a world of people who continue to mourn her sweet spirit. Not many have this gift. Karen was just Special in ways some will never know. Her voice in how she sang the lyric to every song was angelic 💕🙏🏿🌺✌🏾

Superstar still is one of the most sacred songs, and as I was by the side of a former actress dear friend dropping to 79lbs who made it past heart failure, and is living a healthy life 15 years later, bulmemia/anorexia is a very serious disease. Losing Karen Carpenter 💔 😢 changed the 🌎 world to now no longer hide it. Im a drummer and dark haired musician who loved Karen's soul so much from the 80's and still today. Let her soul keep flying high...I will still write lyrics because she inspired me, one that is beyond shy. Let every artist remember the heartfelt soul of one of the few singers to show such raw humility.🎈🧚‍♀️🎼🎵🎶🎙🎶🎹

Does anyone actually know who wrote "Superstar" they did not but,a famous duo from the 60s Woodstock Era wrote it but, never planned on recording it so,it was given to Karen to sing Richard changed the title and 2 words they were upset by that but 2 words Karen was young, shy, just starting to come out of her shell and drumsets that sheltered her from what she loved most but gave her confidence but the song writer got over it and realized what the Carpenters truly did. They made that song a million dollar triple platinum in 5 country's, #1 hot single in 1976. It was ok I'm just 55 and also,a huge joplin fan and Karen and Richard are beyond amazing he's just 🎼 🎹 an embassador of ama, amazing, qltys as Karen was with her perfect pitch It was ready Bonnie Bramlett sp,? And her husband that wrote it . Trip huh but Richard and Karen sang it just because they liked it. Look em up 60s group sang with Dylan in early 60s. The gifts of talent and a beautiful voice and all of many talents and what you can do is why they're all gifted in music etc.How beautiful what a new memory for fans it was actually Rosie Rosanne Barr actress and BFF with Bonnie B. They were singing Amazing Grace at Bonnie's house last year. And Rosie told the story after she req.Bonnie to sing Superstar it's org.name you'll have to research that part as I've given the history and imtired I know it. Look for it on Google or Wikipedia or the Bonnie and Rozanne video I believe it's on youtube.ok thanks for reading someone let us know when u find out the org.nMe do share Karen carpenter Bless you girl and all the Carpenter legacy.amen, 🙏 K

Foreverchangedourworldand lives when we all losses Karen K.C rip girl your the beauty and legacy, towards what w$e didn't or thought we knew vs. The mom could have not been so,willing to rake her daughters illness and pain and suffering and turned it back on Karen and forced her to marry that Domestic ' A:busive what I refer to "Karen's curse " by ignorance and I don't know but ,to just refuse to say 3 powerful possibly life changing words that Was the medicine th/ lack of that l in ke was often the focus of her inner turmoil and heartbreaking s,SHE, tried so,desperately tried to not be reshashed by shbook deals not Richards of course or write=l R,Schmit they would have been "I Love you,Daughter Karen. Why was that so,absent from your heart for her. We didn't even personally meet them most of us but we felt I do and I'm sure millions mostly Richard, was the one who showed it for her and her dad adored her as we have been the ones left to grieve the losses of Karen's passing and of the sad brother left to live on and always asking why her and how it could of made a difference if she had what she needed to make that one thing that could have at least been given to a deserving and beautiful woman who was loved more and admired by strangers but, shown more respect then someone who brought her into our precious world. What did Karen do but, idolize her brother and have a huge gift that ended up leaving us all lost for her great presence and shining beauty. That's why I take no one for granted and do my best to keep my family and friends and the Huge void and great legacy alive even if I'm only a smudge in the effort then Karen's life and gift of music and all Richards sacrifices and pain and talent won't be in vain.ForKaren your loved by yourfanfamily I only hope

To me, he always seemed a little “off”. Karen also had a funny side to her. She always seemed like the leader, but we all know who was the leader according to mother. I think Karen was the star and always will be!! Richard gets credit for the beautiful arrangements. Karen loved her brother and thought so much of his opinion. Just wish he had her back like she did for him. 💜💜love and miss you Karen💜💜 you live on with us always!!

Tony “the Bone” Peluso ...as Karen DOES call him out here...They were great friends no, they used to have a contest to see who could grow their long hair the fastest! He had a successful producing career and a large family, and died I believe in his late 60s to cancer.

I listened to the carpenters through the seventies thought they were the best thing on the radio. Then when they quit theres never been anyone who replaced them to me been a big void. Whitney houston to some degree and amy grant. But its never been quite the same to me. Kind of like when johnny carson quit.
