Hey Casey, glad to see you applied several of my polishing tips and tricks :) Your technique improved a lot! About the hack-wash Method: I actually use the same method, but I use a little pump sprayer with diluted ONR (the blue stuff, without wax in it) to help lift the dirt a little bit better, before I rinse the car off. After driving it, i use an electric leaf blower to blow the remaining water of the hard to reach areas. this way I dont touch the car and don't have to scrub anything. Of course, this technique works only on ceramic coated cars.

Guards red 944 in a self wash bay is way too familiar for me haha. I daily drove mine for a year

Casey, all you need is a good clay bar job. Depending the strength needed on the clay bar to use and good old quality carnauba wax done! If the paint needs restoration? Then light to medium compound, wax n go! Difference is how good the person is at what they are doing!

Ceramic is awesome. I did my first car last summer. It recommended as two stage. It is so slick I can't believe it. All my cars will get the treatment.

By the way, ceramic coating works wonders on faded plastic, it sure soaks it up more than the paint but it's worth it from what I've seen.

That grey paint color on that Porsche is beautiful. Nice and rewarding when you do a polish and wax With a good color that shows reflections and shines better as compared to some other colors.

Glad to see someone else just running a little higher speed to dry the majority of the water off, i gota say i do that quite a few times if i pop in the wash for quick rinse 😁

I just love the 928 and 944. I have been restoring and modifying my 1978 fj40 Landcruiser and I am about done with it...... I think it is time for a new project.......

Do it, man. I used to love the cringe on my wifes face when I would take our brand new 2015 Forester up to the mountains and say "hey lets see if we can follow those guys!" Those cars are highly capable if you put decent tires on them and know what the heckola you are doing.

These are the best hacks ever🔥

I hit a large curb in my 2002 BMW Z3 M roadster a few years back. Caused some major damage for this u-turn in the dark bedding in my replacement ceramic rotor and ceramic pads so was doing some hard pull to get the crazy expensive big brake kit to last. Nevertheless I damage my radiator, fan shroud, under shrouding arrow, brake duct cooling line and air fouls under the car even broke the lower grill. It was rough... I started pricing used and new parts after getting the total cost to do it myself I ended up going to harbor fright and getting the plastic welding stuff and fixed everything but the radiator. Welding plastic is like tig welding and melting mesh in to it which worked great.

Thoughs are the coolest seats I've ever seen

After I get the dent removed from the roof of my 2012 Regal I plan on coating it since I have no garage for it and it never stays clean. seems like not even a week before it's all dirty again.

I knew a service writer for a local Mitsubishi dealership that almost exclusively pressure rinsed his car, rarely using soaps unless there was a really stubborn spot. Had the freshest +20yr paint I've ever seen.

if your seats are cracked, you can get vinyl from the seat back and the lower section of the rear seat from an similar yr. Audi to use to build a repair piece..

Broken screw brackets! I have fixed many of these, if there is any of the original pipe/columns left you can reinforce the fix with heat shrink tubing. Any that aren't broken yet, can also be reinforced.

I recently baught a 1986 60 series landcruiser and i love it and my intention is to fix it up a bit and drive it for work but the one thing i dont know how to fix is the dashboard. Tip: You really have to use the spot free rinse. that ionized water really helps eliminating spots after a wash. 2 cents I've wanted to ceramic coat the 350z for a few years now but just never do. Seems like a major task that I don't want to F up. That and I don't get out much anymore and the car is garage kept, stored Winters.

Would back to black work on the horn cover? I use it on my 944s wing.

The ceramic coating, when fresh, will help repel dirt, with it's hydrophobic properties. Works great, allows for a touch-less wash to take care of dust and minor contaminants. It will slowly lose the hydrophobic capability (but it will still protect against swirls) - when it does, apply another layer, and you get it back, you shouldn't have to polish or do a correction, and it will go on easier. Or, apply a hydrophobic topper like beadmaker, griot's poly gloss, a ceramic spray or quick detailer, etc.

I'd love to get a 928 project car. What are the things to watch out for on 928's??? I've had a 944, 911 and 930. But would enjoy a v8 Porsche.

I completely forgot that you had a Viper!!!! I had a genuine Team Belmondo Chrysler Viper jacket ( from the 90's)!!! unfortunately, I traded it for some die-cast Porsche..LOL

NOOOOOOOO!!! Take the 928 to the wash, NOT the 944... 944's are NOT real Porche's!!! Lol. Bet you've heard that before. I used to have a 928, and loved that car sooooooo much!!! Glad to see you spending most of your time in the vid with the 928. You get a thumbs up! BTW, Trim Gel from Chemical Guys will turn that black and protect it forever. No need for paint or coloring... But as nostalgic as this is, and as much as I miss my 928, I wouldn't trade my current BMW 335i for it. It's a BEAST!!!!

I use the turtle wax version of there ceramic wax. And ngl it made my car look great. Well of course there's some water spots on the hood and some little scratches but I just makes the car look great

Why can't you use wax on the ceramic coated 944?

Always gotta do the hand switch at the car wash.

Notice the crack in the 944 dash at the beginning of the video? Common problem. Replacing the dash is about a 10 hour job. Did it, worth the effort.

Now you gotta try out Optimum No Rinse... carwashes without a hose

The PCA is coming for you. That guy was just the spotter. Keep the window shades down when home. Although getting into the finer details of the emblem over time may buy you a reprieve. And the washer has a pause to encourage people to add money. Question, how does the ceramic coating do with hot brake dust on wheels? I have plenty of gunmetal gray chrome wheels due to brake dust I just don't feel like scrubbing off and could use a solution.

It would take me less time to wash the car properly than the time to drive to and from the coin operated car rinse facility.
