The 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray C8 is an American sports car manufactured by Chevrolet since 2020. It is a successor of the 7th generation (C7) which was produced between 2014-2019.
The 8th generation (C8) of the Chevrolet Corvette was unveiled on October 2019 during the media event at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida, coinciding the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11 mission. It is the 1st Corvette to use the rear mid-engine layout since its introduction in 1953, differentiating the traditional front mid-engine design started in 1963 and the first General Motors' mid-engined car since the Pontiac Fiero was discontinued.
Under the hood, the Corvette Stingray comes equipped with a 6.2L OHV V8 engine (codenamed LT2) capable of developing 490 hp at 6,450 RPM.
