What Vangelis could have made of this fantastic music machine. Always been a Moog fan but this has got it beat, the harmonics that seem built in to every "voice" amazed me. Rich, earthy expression. Never seen Dr.Mix speechless.

I'm half way through my 30's, in a very different career path. I just realized how much I would enjoy combining two of my hobbies (electronics and synths) doing that kind of work compared to what I do now. Man, good on you guys, that looks like a heck of a lot of fun to do. Are they looking for anyone to sweep the floors? Lol.

10:36 A wonderful tribute to the late great Vangelis was absolutely appropriate on that C-15. 🥲 Not just for the sheer fun sake but also because KNOW Vangelis himself would have loved this Synthesizer too and playing on it. Because that thing really would have been right down his alley. It breaths the Yamaha CS-80 greatness and expression and massiveness which he always loved to include in his works.

@@Doctormix You are absolutely right!! And also about the fact that Synthesizers should be made from wood 🪵😋 The electronics combined with the organic nature of wood (and especially that sweet caramel color) is the kind of combination that really makes an instrument connectable to us humans. That combination is simply magical.

He did only pass recently - I suspect he's tried this (maybe in several stages of it's development) - maybe even owned one or two in in his collection - he had a vast collection of hardware - not all of it made it to commercial recordings. I expect he had a few MPE efforts too.

Wow! Aside from the fact that it's an amazing sounding instrument, the star is the level of craftsmanship and attention to detail put into creating one of these. You can also tell that the engineers are totally loving what they are doing. After seeing what goes into this synth, anybody should be proud to own one.

I played this thing at Superbooth a few years ago. Did a video for Sonicstate with just sounds only too. It’s an incredible instrument. I think it’s very misunderstood and underrated. It’s so expressive, like an extension of yourself. So glad you did this video to help bring awareness. Great playing and such an awesome synth!

It's great that it seems that new keyboards like this actually are innovating, instead of just sticking with one type of synthesis, the keyboard like this is beautiful and versatile at the same time, and has its own character… reminds me of the past when all those old synths we collect had their on character, very rarely does a new synth peak my interest like this one does

Dr. Mix, I've always enjoyed your videos! Your enthusiasm for synths is infectious! But what I always notice, along with the demos of favorite hardware, is your natural playing ability. I really love what you play. I think this keyboard once again shows how it's about design, plain and simple. Not WHAT hardware is being used (analog vs digital), but HOW that hardware is implemented. These guys are creative geniuses and the result is truly artistic in my opinion. Amazing!

Good to see the C15 finally getting a review from Doctor Mix. I got the C15 a couple of years ago and love it. I will admit that the instalment plan played a significant part in my decision to buy, but I was also attracted to the uniquely flexible engine. For me, it's more than a synth - it's an electronic acoustic instrument, electronic but with the playability of an acoustic. I'm no longer very interested in patching/programming synths, but the C15 has such a huge range of amazing presets that I can always find something that makes me happy and tweak it a little bit if needed. Just a fantastic machine that will be mine for life I hope. And still a rarity - mine is serial 101 from two and a half years ago, they are probably up to 400 or so by now.

This has to be my nr.1 for a 'factory walkthrough'. Your enthousiasm really rubs of on people. Very well done Doctor Mix sir. And I have not even said anything about your playing yet. :) Because that usually is great right. :D Nice jam at the end too. 🎹🎶 Last thing that just made me laugh out loud; It almost took you 3/5th of the video to actually go through the factory. 🤣 But really amazing sounds out of that thing while looking totally stunning. Anyway.... Greetings from a multi-instrumentalist with his own litlle studio in the Netherlands [more like my complete living room but never mind]. Thanks mate. Peace! ✌

4400€, VAT included, inside EU. Not bad for an artistic hand made synthesizer. Good quality that is only for musicians that plays on scene, because in studio, with a DAW and a MIDI keyboard could have similar results. But is a jewel. Is a little treasure for everyone who loves live playing.
