Fit a pressure reducing valve on the water inlet and set your required pressure, save you the hardship of messing around with the tap

As an old firefighter I have one suggestion. Don‘t open the valve on the gasbottle the whole way. Just one or two turns is enough. That way you can close the valve very quickly in case of emergency!!

My hot water tank at home quit, and I didn’t have the money to replace it. I installed a similar unit in my bathroom, and it’s been working like a dream ever since.

I like that hot water heater, I used to work for Calor Gas. Ideally you want to put in a couple of 47kg bottles side by side, that way your always going to have one spare and a constant supply; very useful in the winter. You can make your own bracket by fixing a piece of box steel to the wall and welding a couple of chains to it, then you can padlock the chains. Do it about 1/2 to 3/4 ways up, that way they won't fall over, if there is a local supplier they can always deliver as well. Good luck.👍

Adrian, those water heaters are a god send, in frosty weather, remove cold water feed from to save damage to heater intervals, leave hoses to hang down. At the end of your calving season, remove batteries, battery contacts corrode. Also you can still have a shower if the power goes 😅😅😅. All the best

re the gas bottle, drill a hole in the wall, feed the gas tube through and leave the bottle on the other side of the wall (depending on what is on the other side). Buy a back-up gas bottle ' tis better to be looking at it than for it ' I heard a wise man once say!!

I have no doubt . . . you have a great problem solver brain. An uncle of mine kept the 11kg gas bottle of gas on a weighing scales. That's how he knew; when it was getting lighter, gas was running low. (not in a farm environment though!) You get the gist . . @@IFarmWeFarm

I've had problems getting gas bottle refills here in Bucks, due to all the patio heaters used for outside dinning in lockdown. Some places would only let you have a refill and not buy a bottle. People often have bottles they have no use for. Normally I see a number that our recycling centre ( tip). Good luck.

We use same thing, different make, to wash horses down after they get worked. Fantastic idea, currently I'm carrying buckets of water from the house to the dairy, mixing in milk replacer, thain carrying the buckets up to the calf pens. I was thinking of getting a electric water heater. But that's a great idea to look into. Why didn't I think of it 🤦

I would still use a 125mm flexible aluminum duct to take the flue gases outside of the building despite it being labelled as "outdoor". Put an isolation valve before the hot tap feed and use that to control the flow so the tap can be used an on/off without resetting every time. Also after turning off water leave the spray gun in open position and hanging below the boiler allowing heating element to empty and prevent frost damage. As always another great improvement and work smarter not harder investment 👍

I love your channel and your humour. A little tip for your water heater is put a pressure relief valve if your water pressure is too high this is a much better option as anyone can turn your tap which could cause a problem and then you have to look for that "sweet spot" again, plus turn your tap does not rejoice your water pressure
