Dear Sony. Thank you. As a lifelong unscripted TV and doc guy, it blows my mind that it took this long for someone to put these features together ALONG WITH XLR INPUTS. Now, here's to praying unscripted production picks back up so we can put this excellent tool in rotation.
Sweet! I love how removing the PL mount is actually a feature point since it saves a lot of weight.

Thank you for putting together such a thorough review. Two questions: Do you think higher frame rates will be in the production model? 6k 120? Even FF 4k 120? Also, if shooting in X-OCN is it still advised to over expose the image as in S-Log3? Thanks in advance.
Questions: Can the SmallHD monitor's camera control function be used on Sony Burano? And how many chances Burano will be added X-OCN ST or X-OCN XT image modes in the future firmware upgrade? Thank you!

Much appreciate the 4:3 in the future, but would be great to have the 3:2 so we can get full sensor readout and 2.25:1 aspect ratio.

2:18 - Can you please clarify "Isn't the exact sensor as Venice 2 ... includes autofocus". From my understanding the sensor and the processing pipeline is a different thing. Sensor pushes the data to AF -> Lens etc. So sensor hardware is the same. Is that right? Or the hardware of the sensor itself has modifications to allow AF?

Great overview.The Burano is out of my budget,so I have to stick with the FX6 Wich is still my work horse and puts out great video still.I think k the Burano will do well in sales as its much more affordable than the Venice 2

How much is it?
Please make some Cine lenses with all your best technology and also make an autofocus "cine" lens that's matched, no focus breathing and great rolloffs for Alpha cameras.
First off, we will begin by saying we have a long list of Sony cameras and products and will continue acquiring what we like in their product line. After viewing this video we are wondering why a company like Sony did not do a better job on this presentation, when they clearly have the budget for it. Our concerns are they shot this dark with poor lighting. The voice sounded a bit distorted and beginning at the 07:32 through 07:34 timeline mark you can hear mechanical noise on the zoom-in for a CU. These minor issues could have been easily fixed, but it makes us wonder about problems we don't want in our recordings. We hope this promo was not shot on the new Sony Burano.
Drooling over here... but because I don't shoot videos for a living my FX3 will have to do for now ;)

Why did you shoot it so dark? Who lit this? I can see this for an introduction to a DIY channel about model trains but a professional camera channel?
Add opengate and there is no reason to shoot on any camera but the BURANO. WOW! Good job Sony.

sounds like Burrito - they should have called it Ponza, Ischia or Capri
But the codec is scary to handle . Not supported by most editing softwares
Great video, taken down a notch by poor audio from the talent. Sounds like a muddy lav mic. Come on Sony, you need to do better. Use a good boom mic and hand this off to an engineer to tweak before sending this out.

He’s asking about open gate modes, Sony - not monitoring. We want open gate modes! Hopefully that 4:3 in your roadmap is actually open gate.

What Sony thinks we want: Sony Burano, What majority of us actually want: Sony Burano in FX3 body with global shutter at FX3 price. Let's see what the future brings. Sony Burano seems like really great though.

Sorry to complain, but that is the worst audio recording I have heard on KZread. Bad mic? Volume too loud? Problem in editing? Am I the only one to notice?
