There's a possibility but I doubt someone is actually doing it. Artillery is a very important element in every terrains that every unit is fighting on, no matter which sides, nor branches. Take example of Guadalcanal, US Marines almost got overruned by midnight Japanese attack, but multiple times got saved by behind the lines arty attack. Also arty munitions. And yeah, most artillery unit is fighting behind the front lines. But if you're referring to anti tank arty, then like I said, there's a possibility, because anti tank crew need to manually aim, and probably those guys have impeccable aim.

There is a such thing as direct fire with artillery they also have the capability to skip rounds of land like a rock off of water

Most powerful, yet underrated piece of weaponry on the battlefield! I like to tow it behind a vehicle (on certain maps) and cause chaos from a distance then relocate so the planes can’t zone in on me. I’ve gotten pretty good at staying alive longer and longer. BF5 has become my favorite battlefield. It’s like a sandbox and anything is possible! Great snipes with the artillery cannon! I really enjoyed this! 🫡
