Once season 2 The Collector confirmed that Gabriel was Hawk Moth, it’s even more sad and infuriating to realize Gabriel chose to be Hawk Moth and akumatize his son’s best friend over spending time with his son on his birthday, especially when he’s the only family member he has left. Oh, and you forgot to mention that apparently Gabriel has always given his son a fountain pen as a present for his birthday previous times before, and that’s accounting when Emilie was still around, so he really lost father of the year awards multiple times already. Also, what’s weird is that The Bubbler was actually the first Miraculous Ladybug episode to be aired (even though in production order it’s the ninth episode, and in both French and International it’s the second episode after Stormy Weather), and honestly, I think Stormy Weather is a better episode to set up the series even if Origins is released later. And Chloé just forgetting her own childhood friend’s birthday kind of shows what a “good” friend she is, isn’t she?

It was mentioned in Zombie zou which was Ms Bustier's birthday that Chloe normally forgets birthdays just like her mom does. So it's probably a generic thing?

It is sweet that she cared about him so much that she let him believe her father gave him the scarf. But it's unfortunate that keeping things from and lying to Adrien and Cat Noir becomes a common occurrence as the show goes on. But this is episode 2 so it's forgiveable.

I think on the cheese thing Adrian only thinks it smells when its close to his face so I think the smell is concentrated to around the cheese, so he probably just stinks like a normal teenager.

Even though this was only the first episode to air while Miraculous was on Nickelodeon, in my opinion I think it would have been better if this was the first episode to air internationally because both of the main heroes get about an equal amount of focus, unlike Stormy Weather it has someone (Tikki) directly mention the time limit, it introduces Marrinette’s main rival before Lila and it gives a first in-person appearance of the man who would later be revealed as the secret identity of Hawk Moth.

This is why in the reveal i imagine mari saying "OHHH so thats why ur colone smells of cemenbert!"🤣🤣

are we not gonna talk about how much SP roasted Adrien for carrying around cheese?

Plagg was a sweetheart in this episode. Since it's season 1 he's obviously still a jerk. However. He was kind to Adrien and tried to give him a birthday present. Even if Adrien doesn't like camembert. Also I don't blame Plagg for giving Adrien that advice to enjoy himself for once. Because considering who Gabriel really is. Yeah. Ephemeral that one scene that's all I'll say.

The Bubbler, as in, the SOMEWHAT UNOFFICIAL first episode of Miraculous: Ladybug and Cat Noir, and we got to witness for outselves..... Marinette OBSESSING over Adrein to an UNHEALTHY degree Plagg inadvertently ruining Adriens Hygiene CHLOE Gabriel Agreste being a AWFUL AND DOUCHY father Hawkmoth seizing on people's emotions to make them into supervillians all for some children's magical jewels Ladybug beginning her reign of abusing her superpowers for her own selfish endeavors Ridiculous villains powers and costumes, AND FINALLY............ A show that now will apparently go on for almost 10 seasons with specials and movies and goofiness and long prolonged identity reveals galore. We all are now stuck on this ride for a GOOD long while and we will all have to bear this for the time being

I wish I could understand the thought process behind giving Nino that inflated balloon antenna as part of his villain costume😑 Also I thought it was really sweet how Marinette didn't tell Adrien who really made the scarf but if we're being realistic she couldn't even give it to him face to face so the chances of her correcting his assumption (if she had wanted to) were minimal to nonexistent.

I disagree bc his father had only given him a pen for the entirety of his life that he remembered so if she had tried to tell him ... based on his past... he probably would believe her.

One thing to note is that besides Plagg, Marinette is the only one to get Adrien a present for his birthday and she didn't even take credit for it. Moments like these remind us that Marinette really does care about Adrien and doesn't just want to possess him.

...........no, she’s still obsessive. Also this wasn’t that long from when adrien first started school so she stalked him to the point of knowing the date of his birthday. Also chloes present was meant to be a kiss which was shut down by marinette being possessive and bubblers present was meant to be adrien having a birthday party which was shut down by Gabriel being possessive. Plagg was the only character who didn’t have an extrinsic motivation for giving adrien a present. Marinette not telling adrien that she was the one who gave the present was the only thing she did for him and not herself in this entire episode, and there was no character development because of it. This episode taught her nothing, despite the fact that Gabriel could have been a perfect foil to her character in this episode as they were both being possessive in different ways.

This was also one of the first episodes I've seen (although I actually did see the origins episodes before this one). The only bad things I have to say about it is Marinette being a stalker, Gabriel being an abusive parent and Chloe being a terrible friend to Sabrina and Adrien in a way. She's been friends with him for around 10 years at this point and doesn't remember his birthday. But there is a good amount of screen time between Ladybug and Chat Noir and we get to see Nino actually being a good friend (He probably always is a good friend to Adrien but the show barely points this out) and Marinette's non-creepy side with that scene at the end. That's why I'm glad this was one of the first episodes I've seen because otherwise I would've thought Marinette was just a stalker for the whole season lol.

This was the first episode I ever saw I saw it when I was very young and when I got back in the fandom everything changed a lot

Gabe is gen X though. He doesn’t look in his 50s when the show started

This is actually the first episode of miraculous on netflix and I think this episode has some of the most Adrien abuse from Gabe like they really wanted to prove how bad of a father he was on the shows beginning

I believe season 1 kinda made more sense to me than the others. Even the lucky charm plans was better. Season 1 & 2 overall was more enjoyable for me than season 3&4. Esp season 2, season 2 had good character development like Chloé's.

The first episode I watched was stoneheart and I'm kinda happy cause I saw the season one origins "finale", so when I first watched this show I could understand the basic things ya know

This was the first episode I watched back when I was 15. I begged my brother and sister not to put shows like this while I was around, but ofc 2 over 1 they watched it and I thought Adrienette was cute and it was so relatable to me at the time *gag* that I became obsessed with it. Here I am 4 years later, my brother stopped watching it but me and my sister still do, the irony seeing as he's the one who chose it

I kinda liked the old Lucky Charm scenes as they felt a lot like Scooby Doo/Home Alone style traps with really cool music in the background.

My parents didn't give me a gift this year. On the other hand, they did bring me to a water park and the Mall of America. You win some, you lose some.

In hindsight, its amazing that all the main characters even got approved: -Marinette a crazy, creepy, obsessive stalker who would throw her friends and families aside for one boy -Adrien so perfect with little to no flaw and has almost nothing to relate to for the audience -Chloe -Alya being always supportive with all the crazy stuffs Marinette do and barely tell her "Yo girl, you need to chill" -Is Nino even a main character? He lacks character so much i don't even know why he exist other than being Main Character Bestfriend™ -Gabriel is so abusive to his only family member left that's not in a coffin, and throughout the seasons they expect us to symphatize him? The sheer audacity they have

Adrien being actually happy and, somehow, happier even with his mom gone. But then the reveal happen, all the good father image suddenly shattered and angst hailed down from the heaven and hell. If he's abusive, him being actually the bad guy dont sound that surprising, like how easy it was for us to guessed who Hawkmoth is

@@fatherplatypus2316 I disagree it is soo obvious that he is reviving Emily for himself not for his son Though he might of been worse in Xenoblade Cronicles 3 there is a character named N he was an antagonist with ties with Noah the main character he WILLINGLY joined the organisation/race he was fighting against and massacred a former ally called the lost numbers a city worth at that just to revive M his lover who he emotionally abused her by forcing her to join the enemy against her will AND kill people to live forever as well as go full yandere I would go on forever I think these two were greatly written and though here is the above I did felt sorry for the two of them

Coming back to this episode after the season 5 finale really makes one question Gabe’s request that Mari not reveal his villainy to Adrien cuz like, he was already pretty much a public villain after pulling this father of the year crap anyway.

He tremendously abused Adrien throughout the whole show. Even when he was being nice to him in season 5, he still tried to use that bond and kindness for his own destructive gains. It's actually really sad. Gabriel does love Adrien but even when he shows love towards him, he still sometimes uses Adrien for his own plans.

I know we give Marinette a lot of flack for not signing her cards, but look at the two situations that occurred from her doing so. A) her gift was stolen by someone. (Kind of) B) Cat Blanc, but she could have waited a little longer instead of being impatient. He was almost home. Wow! Even season 1 shows how selfish Marinette is. Instead of helping her enslaved classmates, she just focused on pursuing Adrien. I want to say the same thing about Adrien, but I cannot blame someone for wanting to hang at his party that he never had before. Also, as soon as he saw how unhappy his classmates were, he stood up to Nino as Adrien and when that did not work, he transformed as Cat Noir. Marinette just kept ignoring Tikki and tried signing her card. Ugh!

My first experience with Ladybug & Cat Noir was it being on Netflix, and the Bubbler was the first episode of the season on there so this is a nostalgic episode for me.

This goes back to your video about how is ladybug going to get all the miraculouses back after “Shadow Moth’s finale attack part 2 episode. You didn’t take in account a very small but a major important point. She didn’t get all the sunglasses back. Remember that she had asked for the sunglasses back was well as the miraculousness back.she needed all of them to rebuild the luck charm! Felix took his off and dropped them on the ground. Therefore, the luck charm she threw up wasn’t fully restored and not at full power! I bet that both the Felix’s lens and ladybug finding the broken sunglasses are going to play a part into the resolution of season five. I’m betting that when she finds the glasses and throws them up, it is somehow going reverse something. I’m betting time. And the whole season will be like it never happen like on Dallas and bobby’s death. If you don’t know, on tv show “Dallas” the character Bobby Ewing dies at the end of one season. Then next season Bobby is dead.it was a crappy season. Then the first episode of the next season after that, booby’s awakes from sleeping and hears noise from the shower. Then Bobby walks out the shower and the previous season was all a bad dream. It is crappy. But I’m betting some version of that is going to happen.

where are you watching miraculous season 5 ??????????????????????????????????????

How has no one talked about this cause I have. Adrien must smell like crusty socks after wearing them for 1 week. All of the products with his face on it he must ritualistically bathe in them. The only thing I can think of is he buys it from shops that gives him portions in cheese paper but all that does is mask the smell. We never see that paper. What's funny to me is even in all this time has Nat actually cared about Adrien in any meaningful way beyond that her boss is his dad and she wants his D. Going off on her own to get him a gift, helping Adrien, being interested in things he wants to do. What else does Nat even do. Does she clean their giant ass house? Cause that's not what she's there for. She just seems more like steward. When Gabe is being a loon in his lair with a view, Gorillia is on standby wherever Adrien is supposed to be, what is she doing?

The episode is pretty good I just want to know that it is so weird but I think I know why because it is setting up the events for time Tigger all of those time travel episodes are going back in time if you watch season three times Tigger you’ll know that Marinette asks phonics to go back in time and in the time traveler portal we see a different event of Marinette giving him the present I think episode I have no clue but that’s my opinion
