The grin on Derek's face half way in when warren is quoting "Les Brers in A Minor” during his solo is the best. Man, I hope they do more of these shows! Everything I've heard so far has been fire.

Omg watched this for 1 st time and almost had a tear in my eye, Jaimoe!

One of the best to do it, crazy thing tho!!!! They been doing it since day1 and they were this good 50 yrs ago RIP D.A. they just got better and better and better over the years RIP G.A. and the other originals...ABB forever. Eat A 🍑

It annoys the hell out of me to hear Warren singing Gregs songs now that he has passed - Warren thinks he is that good of a singer - he is not - and the bandmate didnt even show up for Greg's funeral. Sorry, POS in my book. Not to mention the young ones Derek & Warren wanted to pursue their own music - fine - stop playing his music then.

This was a one-off show to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the ABB, and to pay tribute to the members who have passed on (which by that time included 4 of the original 6). Who should have sung Whippin' Post, if not Warren? Keep in mind that Warren was a member of the ABB for more than 20 years -- 1989-1997 and 2001-2014. If he doesn't have the right to sing Whippin' Post in tribute to Gregg, Duane, Berry, and Butch, then who does?

Let’s face I, Gregg had THE BEST blues voice around ! Warren does okay, he tries, but true, he isn’t in Gregg category but who else in the band would sing ? He’s the most familiar with the material. Couldn’t bring in someone from outside the band to “ fill in. “

DEREK AND WARREN DEDICATED THE PRIME OF THEIR LIVES TO KEEPING THIS MUSIC ALIVE AND TURNING TWEO GENERATIONS OF YOUTH TO THIS GREAT MUSIC. NOTHING NEGATIVE SHOULD BE SAID OF WARREN HAYNES. GREGG WILL ALWAYS BE THE BEST WHITE BLUES SINGER OF ALL TIME. WARREN DOES HIS BEST AND IS SO APPRECIATED BY ANY ONE WITH A love of this band.

@@samuelmabbott I agree wholeheartedly. While Warren doesn’t have the voice that Gregg had, the effort is always there. Give the guy some credit where credit is due.
