I play guitar and.....George Johnson doesn't quite get the recognition -he- deserves. It's not just about technical ability, it's about legacy. The Brothers Johnson, helped to make 70's funk what it was!

I was too was in high-school in the beautiful Island of Barbados 🇧🇧 dancing and singing to these two handsome brothers music. I just lost one my best friends this week and I remembered Brothers Johnson and Ohio Players were one of his faves. Forever in our 💕 Hearts Louis Johnson and my dear friend Chris Thomas ❤ . I will cherished the memories of our childhood together with Chris with love from Hazel and Betty.

My Brother Johnson eight track started dragging and then hung up. I was devastated. So I had screwdriver and pried it apart and took a pair of scissors and spliced it, then I put some scotch tape on both sides of the tape. Then I rolled it forward. It would play but left some the song land of ladies out.. Oh I was disappointed but I still played the h out of it.. 1976-77. College days on the campus of the University of Oklahoma. Lord and Family Affair 1972 Sly and the Family Stone.. There’s a riot going on.. some of the greatest days ever.. LB January 4, 2023 Wednesday…

@doralee2407 lovely comment The Brothers Johnson was my whole childhood, and my dad was friends with their families. And thank you for mentioning Eddie Towns as well. A lot of folks don’t even know who he is… I love when people mention him. I still have all his music as well. Very underrated.

Yeah and in my most humble opinion, the crowd didn't appreciate Georges playing as much as they should have. That's a hard lick to play repeatedly as he did.
