Picked up this E300 broken razor electric scooter up off the side of the road and gave the kid $10 since i was looking for a scooter project. Bought a 36v 800w brushed controller kit with throttle and a 36v huge motor and i will be using two hover board 36v 4.4ah lithium 18650 batteries together making 8.8ah pack for 10 miles of fun! On the first test ride we had no brake cable once it came in the mail we were able to safely accelerate and stop!
Full build cost was $89 including the cost of the scooter at $10

You could have used the 24v motor, the over volt increases the rpm, my pocket mod with 36v controller and stock 250w motor is faster than my eco smart with 36v and 500 watts
Running the 36v on 36v motor 800w motor gives you more torque than the 250w motor, for top speed you net (typically) 1mph per 100w, that scooter probably does 18-20mph now. A stock 24v 250w motor running 36v volts nets 50% more watts and rpm. I have run 21-23mph with 36v setup on the stock motor. Run 48v on that motor, it will fly.
Can you slap a gas motor easy instead and does the rear wheel already have sprocket for a chain to put on?
Hey can I ask.. how do you charge the batteries. Do you charge them separately?
