This song makes me cry honestly. The first time I listened to it I was in a bad place. I was struggling with my sexuality, my parents just separated, I was constantly sleep deprived, I was in a bad relationship where my ex-Girlfriend was threatening to kill herself every night. When the song started, I thought "oh this is a nice song" but when it started the guitar solo, I started crying... by the time the last lyrics "it's useless and boring, don't wanna be bored anymore!" I was crying pretty hard... when the instrumental (last part of the song) came, I was full on sobbing. I didn't want to do anything anymore, I wanted to get out of the relationship, I wanted to figure out myself. When the song ended I was quiet, I didn't know what to think. The song means a lot to me, even though it's just a song about being bored...

When I first listented to the album I thought goodnight socialite was my favourite song of the album until life wasn't particularly fun and boring became my favourite. I just related so much to it and it's hard for me to listen to it without shedding a tear

it's *my* severe depression and *i* get to choose the music for real though, for me this song perfectly encapsulates how depression feels for me. i've had depression since i was 9 and on so many days i've felt just like this. i lose interest in things that usually i love and that bring me joy, i feel numb and empty, bored of every option. as the song says, it is useless and boring, and i don't want to be bored anymore. i'm sick of feeling this way and want to be better, yet i'm scared of losing myself and becoming bored again. perhaps one day i'll be alright, but in the meantime i'll listen to this song constantly as a coping mechanism, dreaming of a better future

Can we stop with the comparisons with Panic! Like.. Please?? Dallon is a genius and he writes his own music. He was his own man and music writer before Panic! came along for him so let's just enjoy that without constantly saying all his songs somehow sound like a Panic! song.
