The British People Keeping The Steam Train Alive | Steam Train Journey
Starting in the 1830’s the age of steam was made in Britain, and was one of the greatest technological breakthroughs the world has ever seen. The train powered Britain’s rise to power and changed everything from the food we could eat to work we could do. As we continue to power towards the future, a network of 22,000 volunteers and 4,000 staff are working together on 130 Heritage lines and carrying 8 million people each year through the age of steam.

2 of the lines are Welsh? That makes it British.

@@hogwashmcturnip8930 that would make them English and Welsh. Thanks.

@@34547 No it would not. Britain is 6289 islands, most of which are uninhabited rocks, but that is by the by. The inhabited part is home to 3 distinct nations. The Scottish, the English and the Welsh. Each has its own history, culture and language. When you include Northern Ireland it becomes the United Kingdom. The inhabitants are then known collectively as British. Here is a Health Warning. Please do not tell a Welshman, Scotsman or Irishman he is English, unless you like hospital food. England is small bit below Scotland and to the right of Wales, if you are looking at a map. Scotland is actually the larger land mass, if you include all its islands, but it has fewer people. The Welsh are the original British, but they were Never English. Keeping up?

.Stop trying to be a smartarse, because all you are doing is making yourself look like an uneducated dork. British in this instance is perfectly correct.

@@hogwashmcturnip8930 the term ‘british’ extends beyond geographical means, it is a political statement. From your smarmy replies it seems that you are unaware of that. If it helps, I happen to be a Welshman, very well aware of what I am speaking of. You come across as someone who is asking to live off hospital food. Good evening to you.
