Lyrics:
The faces all around me they don't smile they just crack
Waiting for our ship to come but our ships not coming back
We do our time like pennies in a jar
What are we saving for [x2]
There's a smell of stale fear that's reeking from our skins.
The drinking never stops because the drinks absolve our sins
We sit and grow our roots into the floor
But what are we waiting for? [x2]
[chorus:]
So give me something to believe
Cause I am living just to breathe
And I need something more
To keep on breathing for
So give me something to believe
Something's always coming you can hear it in the ground
It swells into the air
With the rising
Rising sound
And never comes but shakes the boards and rattles all the doors
What are we waiting for [x2]
[chorus]
I am hiding from some beast
But the beast was always here
Watching without eyes
Because the beast is just my fear
That I am just nothing
Now its just what I've become
What am I waiting for
Its already done
Oh
[chorus]

Nostalgia and the almighty algorithm brought me here. So true with this sad audience. I’m surprised they didn’t have an applause sign or something. Lol Got the pleasure of seeing them when I worked at this big beautiful outdoor venue by the beach. And I had seen and had even been maybe 20 feet away from GIANTS and killer musicians like Bob Dylan (He’s a legend but his band blows him away), Kansas, John Foggerty etc. I was already a fan of The Bravery, but they put on SUCH a good show, thankfully the audience loved em, actually had a pulse; and in all honesty-they were top ten of the bands that I seen there. Tight as a crab’s ass, playing wise (especially the drummer) and the two guitarists were so fun to listen to between songs. I think the backing guitarist was whipping out Van Halen lines for s&g. It’s a real shame they broke up.

Lots of people bagging on the crowd - but you have to understand the context. SXSW is a music festival with hundreds of bands playing in a 4-5 day stretch. There are literally 30 bands playing at a given time at different venues scattered all over downtown Austin. So, imagine walking down a few streets where there is live music at every venue you walk past then one of your friends says "hey let's go here!" and then you just hang out and watch a few bands, but you have no idea who they are. Maybe you are trying to meet up with a few other friends who are lagging behind or at a different bar and you are trying to coordinate, drunkenly, how to meet up. That's SXSW

I don't usually care what crowds do at shows and I usually like to think that if you pay to go to a show you can do as you please, but this crowd is just awful. If I were in that band I would feel insulted by the people I'm playing for. There's literally like 4 people showing any signs of life. The rest of the people are like mindless zombies.

On most late night shows the studio audience is different than the live performance audience. They hand pick fans for the live performance audience because months before, if they don't they get an audience like this one.
