its sad that not many know of this moment. Because honestly, to me, it's one of the most memorable and prominent moments in modern music history. Think of a band of people coming together with one common goal. it's the same concept. look and listen to all the people uniting in harmony. its breathtaking and marvelous.

I've listened to alot of bands with a devoted fan base; Disturbed, Linkin, System, Slipknot, but I don't think I've ever seen more involved and dedicated fans than Blind Guardian's. Everytime I watch this video, I get chills. Amazing band. Funny thing is, I just found out about them thanks to Loudwire. Definitely going to check out more of their stuff.

By far one of the most actively involved crowds I've ever seen or heard

I had never heard of Blind Guardian - Valhalla but I've watched this at least 50 times today already...

I cannot fathom the absolute sheer emotion that this band must have felt. Having such massive crowd all connecting to your vibe, harmonizing on a song you wrote, having a genuinely good time with it. Incredible.

The same happened at the end of The last Candle, with everyone singing "somebody's out there", both times it went on for what seemed like an eternity. And then just like in this we started singing it again right after we stopped! It was the most fun I've ever had at a gig.

At every BG gig, it still does! Whenever I hate my life, I remember I'm living in the same timeline as these legends.

These are the moments musicians can only dream of. I almost cried when a crowd of like, 15 or 20 people started singing a lead guitar part back to us. I would bawl like a newborn if thousands of people were singing my songs, word for word back to me

why can't all shows be like this no phones people participating with the band giving all the energy they have . this is what music is supposed to be

They were here, in Istanbul couple of months ago and the final verse kept going for like 10 minutes or so. I haven't been to many concerts but I must say that the atmosphere is just absolutely amazing.

I love how most of the crowd is fine letting the song end, and there's clearly just a handful of true believers that make the decision to keep it going, and immediately the entire crowd is like "YES THAT'S HAPPENING THANK YOU".

I'm almost crying Damn, I've just checked out 2016 Wacken and his voice didn't change a bit...

I keep coming back to this live show over and over and over. I truly believe that at this moment in time, Blind Guardian were the greatest metal band that ever walked the earth.

+Marze Umaña I loved him at this show too! Especially how he joined the crowd when they continued to sing, but then ever so nicely calmed them down using cymbals... that was great (although I could have listened to the crowd forever, but it had to stop sometime).

Every once-in-a-while I'll pass this one guy on the street and he's always chanting this for some reason and I never knew until now. Must've been at the concert.

I still come back to this every now and then.

This is why i love metal music. Its the passion of the band and fans. I couldnt see this level of crowd participation lasting in any other genre

I was sitting here thinking how fucking awesome it would be, to be in a crowd like that at a concert. Then I thought how unbelievable it must feel, to stand in front of an entire fucking sea of people, singing your song A Capella. That has to be an indescribable feeling.

I was at a Newsboys concert in Indianapolis, maybe 2003? and the crowd kept singing the chorus of "He Reigns." Eventually each member of the band stepped silently off stage until only the drummer was left. Then when he left we still kept on singing for a minute or two, until enough of the crowd got off tempo or stopped long enough for the moment to be over. But it was an amazing shared moment.

I love coming back to see Hansi’s face at 6:42 when the crowd gives their own encore in perfect rhythm and tempo, to the point that the drummer can play along with them. Must have been such a great moment for the band. They deserve all those moments.

Drummer is the MAN. He noticed an opportunity and turned it into a jam session with the fans. EPIC
