Dude, the book sister sage is reading is "Naming and Necessity" by Saul kripke in which he dealt with the debates of proper names in the philosophy of language. It is a philosophy book and a simple Google search could have told you that.

I think when sage Lobotomizes herself, it’s like her version of smoking a blunt. She probably temporarily dumbs down, but eventually heals up.

What a cool video that I'm definitely watching for the very first time

i think a-train is one of the best written characters in the show. i'm so excited for what is hopefully his redemption arc (though it's the Boys so anything could happen).

So here's an idea about Black Noir. In the comics he's a clone of Homelander but obviously they didn't do that in the show. The same actor who has always played Noir is still playing him, he's just now got a speaking role. What if they used the same actor because it turns out they cloned Black Noir? Like, he's still a clone as in the comics, but now he's just a clone of his own original self instead of being Homelander's clone. We know Noir could talk until a particularly gnarly beating by Soldier Boy, so it would make sense that this clone could (and would) talk, even if his personality is different. After all, New Noir isn't scarred from years of Soldier Boy's abuse.

I didn't realize the "clone narrative" was something others were refusing to "let go of". Godolkin University has been around since 1965 in The Boys Universe; so the fact that this Noir went there doesn't mean anything. I don't know if it occurred to you but Clones don't have to be immediate Adults, and there is such a thing as adoption. In fact, there's a whole orphanage in The Boys Universe for super kids called Red River. Do you see how this idea can fit into all the things they've already mentioned in the first 3 episodes of season 4? Victoria wants her papers from Red River from Butcher to get rid of proof she was ever there. I'm sure Stan Edgar could've avoided paperwork for Baby Noirs if he thought it necessary. Theoretically, Vought could've cloned a Black Noir baby and made a bunch of little Noir babies to grow up in the world. Also, the "clone narrative" is a source material thing and a big reveal with lasting effects in said source material, so it makes sense that fans of the comics would like to see that plotline translated somehow onscreen. Lastly, don't be a rude dick for no reason. Just because you don't like an idea doesn't make it wrong or a bad one.

I think the season is gonna end with Butcher getting rid of whatever that worm is, curing him, and getting rid of Jeffrey Dean morgans character as a nod to Fight Club, given how it's a pretty big theory already that he is in his head, but this will come with a cost, maybe his relationship with Ryan or the boys, anyway that's my prediction

It's not bad to replace an actor. Soap operas did it all the time. If you don't replace them and just get rid of the character, it kind of implies that you were never doing anything important with that character anyway.

plus if you've seen Kripke's interview where he talks about working with the actors, its clear he still sees these actors as real people he associates and has fun with, they're not just actors playing his characters their coworkers he cares about and out of respect for Chances family too I doubt he'd ever want to replace actors because it'll make Chance seem replaceable like just another face to be put on screen, and after his death being so recent it feels distasteful. Plus his character was already made to seem like he'd die so its not that difficult to incorporate it to the story while also in Kripke's words, respecting Chances legacy

With all the stupid shit Homelander's been doing; I really think Victoria and Sage are going to team up and get rid of Homelander some way. I do think they will eventually face off against each other and one will work w/ The Boys to defeat the other woman, but I don't know who will do what.

Might be my favorite season so far. The dialogue scenes between characters (especially Butcher and MM) are so excellent. Also love the commentary on the kinds of folks that get into right wing conspiracy trash and “I sell them purpose” is so spot on for what these sad people crave. Also, Sage might be the best villain the show has ever had.

I will only be watching recaps going forward. When the writers and directors are more concerned with forcing unnecessary gay and political themes than telling a good story, I'm out. Sucks. Seasons 1-3 were actually pretty entertaining.
