Written and produced by LA Reid, Babyface and Daryl Simmons. They had huge careers for about 4 years from 1988-1992. They are brothers and were famous for writing and producing and arranging almost their entire second album in 1990 when they were barely out of their teens. At that time Khiry was 17, Hakeem was 15, Tajh was 14 and Bilal was 12. They asked to be let out of their Motown record contract after the failure of their 3rd album and moved to Gambia Africa. They continued making music as Suns of Light and Hakeem has gone on to a pretty successful songwriting career for folks as disparate as New Kids on The Block (co-writing the only good song on their first comeback album, Click Click) and Akon. Tajh, the group's best singer, and Hakeem, the group's most charismatic, have also done some solo work. Massively gifted artists that short circuited their own careers in order to maintain their relationships as brothers and their own sanity. They had the potential to continue to grow and become stars, but they went back to the Continent. I have tremendous admiration for them

They moved to Africa and are still successfully recording music over there, they have a channel. They had a groundbreaking career in the 80s, they were really popular in the mid to late 80s. I'm 44 and had The Boy's fever.

Actress/singer Rosie Perez was their choreographer! It is wonderful so many people in the business saw their talent and were willing to support them during their time in the industry. Babyface and LA Reid produced some songs on their first album.

As a middle school-aged kid, I used to see them performing at Venice Beach before they blew up as kid stars. They worked with MJ and got into acting. Wow. This song takes me back. ❤ Gotta watch their video Crazy and the kid version of MJ's Bad Video. I think it's called Badder. They are in it. As the brothers got older they left the business and moved to Africa.

I loved The Boys when I was a kid. I had the biggest crush on Hakeem. I like “A Little Romance” and “Lucky Charm”. After their first couple albums they got more into production. They moved to a country in Africa and started producing (they’re brothers). Hakeem is still producing but I don’t know about the other three.

Omg as a kid in the 80s loved this group!!! This song was def a fave. It sounds like Bobby’s songs from that same year in 1988 because babyface and la Reid produced this track and Bobby’s don’t be cruel album. I think the boys had one or two albums. One of the boys Hakeem used to act in a lot Of shows in the 80s like different strokes, amen . They moved to Gambia a long time ago like maybe over 20 years ago. They still produce music and have a different band name.

I was rocking to this in 1988 in junior high. The group consisted of four brothers Khiry Abdulsamad; Hakeem Abdulsamad; Tajh Abdulsamad; Bilal Abdulsamad from Carson, California. All four were actually gymnasts, hence their acrobat back flips. They had two albums together. By 1992, they disbanded the group and went into production. They would eventually relocate to Africa and start their own families...🤔

I had such a crush on Hakeem....such memories. They weren't in the industry long because they didn't enjoy it as they got older. They have families and are really religious now. They lived out of the US for many years...so they have a different lifestyle. I think one of them still does music...but it's more like tribal African music...they aren't in pop/R&B anymore.

If you saw New Edition's NE Heartbreak, they are in that video. In 1988, Bilal, the youngest is my age and I was 9 then.. the others are older. Hakeem was on tv and in movies... and the last album they had as The Boys, I think he produced that whole album. Check out their songs Lucky Charm, Crazy, and the Saga Continues... they were signed to Motown and has 3 albums there. They were there at the same time as Another Bad Creation.

They starting off performing shows on the Venice Beach walk way in Venice , California on the weekends for donations in the mid 80s doing flips and acrobatic risks moves and somebody discover them and they sign to I think Motown and had two out of 3 successful albums. But cleverly they wrote and produces songs at that young age. By the 3 album they wanted full control of the album and it was to raw or some controversial thing happen
