I love seeing how much, and it's been for a number of episodes now, it's clear that Butcher actually deeply cares for Ryan, and it's gone far beyond just protecting his wife's son.

A-Train’s ark is probably my fav this season and I love how they kinda justify why MM lose weight too.

So Sage could have told them about the team working on the virus. But, "Annie" was talking about stuff that had happened earlier in the apartment before the switch. And they knew the safe combination. Sage is good, but I'm not sure she is Oral Roberts.

Two things I learned: 1. A Train stole the spotlight completely this season 2. Ffs they wrote the worst life for Hughie this season

Apparently Octopuses have three hearts so that's why she died three times The show didnt establish the safe but the episode did. And I'm thinking the show didn't establish it because he probably got it after Butcher tried to steal it

Literally every time A-Train tempted to open the door my heart start racing thinking that Homelander will appear right in front of him😭😭😭

I like the paralell they've done with A-Train & Deep. They both killed their love interests (human or otherwise) out of insecurity, but while one (eventually) chose to better himself and do what made him feel good as a person, the other continues to become more and more pathetic and pitiful each time we see him. (sorry if this is obvious)

Imagine Noir's powers are intentionally hidden and not shown much so finally he has similar powers as homelander and help defeat him. (Yes comics had a clone of homelander as noir but maybe a decent copy of homelander's powers he could have in this series helping in the final fight)

When I watched the episode this morning, I totally missed Kimiko had a little tiny "Deadpool" foot.....

For real, did not have Homelander crying on my Bingo card. I doubt anyone would have even printed it on a card.

Ryan even politely asks "please", whereas Homelander shouts threats. Nice subtle showing of how different yet similar they really are.

Best episode of the season just on the strength of the acting and character arcs on display. Even the octopus was on point.

Sister Sage may be playing 4D chess, but she still operates in a realm of logic and reason. Homeland doesn't operate on logic and realm. He is chaotic. Chaos personified. You can't predict chaos, and so it makes sense that Sister Sage didn't see a few outcomes coming. That said, it's hard to imagine she was not prepared to be fired from jump. So I do think there is another long term plan at work here.

Ashley actually gave a fuck about her assistant

Web Weaver gets off on being punished, he tried to stop it before homelander killed him, since jabby looked confused while Sage was describing he wasnt the leak...

Something I find is really cool in this episode is the callback to another one of the writer's old shows- Supernatural where the shape shifters needed to "shed" their skin to shift into a new form and touch someone to do it (and keep their memories) And in it the original shapeshifter does go through a sort of inventory crisis in which they actually don't remember what they look like anymore. It's a really interesting episode to watch even on its own without knowing anything about the show.

God every b plot was so good this episode, Ryan disobeying his dad live, A-Train fully on the good side now completely out of vaught, frenchie and kamiko, MM and his family, the shapeshifter, the deep and octopus, the big fight. Great episode

I think Homelander's biggest mistake is firing Sage and letting her live. He's giving the smartest person on the planet time to think and plot revenge. If anyone can come up with a way to kill Homelander its Sage. Although I think she would rather be behind the scenes instead of taking over so she's probably gonna kill Sage.

After all what homelander dose to a-train, he still wants loyalty from him. It's hilarious when he says "how could he do this to me?". I mean, bro! 😂

This has been a more special episode, it was a real and surprising gift, very sick. Deep and Noir against the members of The boys, A-train and in their game of changing to be a better hero. Frenchy's return, and knowing that Sage's damage was not permanent. And who knows that Butcher will never leave Ryan aside and embrace the lesser version of himself.

They depict the seven as puppets.. even homelander as he was a puppet to Stan and Stillwell. Homelander rejects Sage much like she was when she was little girl with the doctors. She may flip and help butcher and the boys later on.

35:00 various productions have been doing that on purpose lately: they'd book all actors for less episodes, and still do a full season rotating the one out. more screen time for individual scenes, less changes of locations, less money spent overall, same number of episodes.

Something I noticed is that Sage is pretty protective about Butcher and the Boys despite the fact that they shot him and A-Train isn't really a misinformation guide. If anything the Boys know exactly what the 7 is planning because of A Train's leads and Tek Knight a keystone is dead. And the whole "Butcher will be dead soon" , anyone who knows Butcher, knows that someone as crazy as him would not GAF about dying. Maybe I am looking too much into it but has she been double crossing Homelander in the long run ? ALSO WTF. Hughie got r**ped AGAIN.
