The author is such a soft spoken, gentle soul. We need more like him and more books like these in the world.

This film is such a gem. I screened it in a film class and students loved it. Also shared several interviews with Charlie like this that are so sweet and also fascinating to see him drawing.

Bought this book for my 11 year old son and he sat and read the whole thing in one go (which is unheard of for my son) and he loved it. Thank you for producing something that can touch the souls of both children and adults equally. This book is beautiful in every way x

Hi Charlie I would just like to say thank-you from the bottom of my heart. I have 4 children , and 6 amazing grandchildren . I suffer with my mental health and during these dark times I choose to be alone, as the pain of being around those who love me is to much, as I believe in that present moment that I am a burden to them, and not good enough . But they never give up on me. On good days I love life , my grown up children are my best friends , and my grandchildren make my heart melt and there’s nothing better than having fun with them . Today is not a good day for me. I decided to for a walk , get outside & absorb some vitamin D. During my walk back I received a text msg of my eldest daughter saying “ I’ve posted something for you “. You’re book The boy, the mole, the fox and the horse. I have just sat down with a cup of tea and read the book, it instantly soothed me and I will treasure this amazing book forever. “Sometimes “ said the horse. “Sometimes what?” asked the boy. “ Sometimes just getting up and carrying on is brave and magnificent” Thank-you for bringing some light into my dark day. I watched the animated movie on Apple TV+ and was so overwhelmed by what the characters said that it made me cry. They showed me what I was missing and where I wanted to go with my journey. Thank you so much for this beautiful story!

That was the book, I just read it and I loved it so much and I have all the ingredients in me, so I smiled and I cried. Now it's still a matter of waiting for a friend who's feeling the same and understand that love is in all little things. Except my mother I never loved a person so dearly as I loved my dog's and nobody loved me and give me more confidence like my dogs. Thank you for this lovely and useful book. 🌿💚

I just got this book i opend the book randomly & read Doing nothing with friends is never doing nothing is it asked the boy NO said the mole. What a perfect way to look at it !

A beautiful, heartwarming book. i bought a copy for my son-in-law and grandson to share. Another for my granddaughter, and then one each for my sister and me. Love the thoughts and the stunning illustrations, so loose and yet beautifully observed. A dream of a book.

I bought this to read with my son. I read it and bawled... then turned around and bought two more copies to Give one to my mom (she’s a child therapist and I thought the kiddos may benefit), and the other one went to an amazing family friend (pretty much my second mom) who is also a therapist. I won’t stop there, I have at least 10 more copies to buy before I’m going to slow down. THIS BOOK IS A GAME CHANGER. I will cherish every word forever. ♥️

Thank you for creating this beautiful book. You described it as a ‘simple book’ and whilst the words have been written in such a creative way, (to enable young and old to understand) the messages themselves within the text are incredibly insightful and powerful to enable children (and adults) to consider different ways of thinking and to understand their own emotional responses and feelings. Even at my age (really old!) I still haven’t mastered the impact of negativity towards me, but the words in your book just put things into perspective, so I am incredibly grateful to you and I will be buying many copies for my children, family and friends ❤️

I cried through this whole book. When I picked this book up, I felt it. This book and I meeting couldn’t come at a better time. At the same time, I don’t think I could’ve loved it the way I do had it arrived any sooner. I love this book and I can’t wait to share it.
