I always thought it was embarrassing and pathetic how Bostonians would(and still) glorify him. I grew up in Neponset, the area near where some of his victims were buried, and I always considered that to be shameful stain on an otherwise peaceful(for the most part) area. I grew up in southie. I knew Whitey. I had many interactions with him over the years. He was an associate of my grandfathers. my personal opinion of him, having known him, is in complete agreement with yours ,and then some. When i knew him as a kid, say, between 7 and 12 or so, I was under no circumstances allowed to be alone with him. I'll leave it at that.

I disagree paperwork can be produced, altered, or just be a lie. It's word of mouth that makes someone in prison either be a rat, a cell theif, a liar, a rapist or a pedophile. You find out from the people who know the person who is in question. Like I know four people convicted for murder so paperwork says they are all murders but only one kid unknown to the rest had a knife and ended up killing one guy during a brawl but joint venture laws make everyone who went to the fight guilty of whatever either of them do. Like if you go into the bank to rob it and I am in the car waiting even though I didn't step one foot in the bank on paper I am a bank robber. I'm not trying to make anyone sound like they don't know what they are saying but I learned this stuff the hard way so I can share it just trying to keep people from judging people according to only paperwork. I think some of them mystique surrounding him, especially for somebody like me, is the fact that while an Alcatraz keep participated in project MK ultra, which is still going on today in some regards. But just the fact that whitey was a part of MK ultra while in Alcatraz is mind-boggling to me and holds mystique to it.

Great video, I been thinking bout that for years. The fact Connolly was his boy, the paperwork was like light from what I hear. Its normally a huge dictionary size file, but whiteys was this couple pieces of paper. So yeah like you said Connolly putting bullshit paperwork most likely. Like if you look at it one way, he was an informant. On other hand , he gave Connolly info and he gave whitey info!! Like I guess what Im saying is if Connolly was crooked and they were swapping info, was he an actual a informent to feds?? Or to John you know. I tell what though regardless of all of it, much like you wen I was young I thought all this sounded soo dope cool, you think this shit is what you want to do.
