    Dude, the Celts had just won 10 in a row before destroying the Warriors. Where do you get this "Sleeping Giant" narrative? They are like frigging Godzilla right now, rampaging and embarrassing other teams. Don't make shit up. The Celtics have NOT been sleeping on anyone. As for Curry, he beat us in the finals and he could mock us if he wanted to. But THIS Celtics team is not the one he beat. It's much, much better. Porzingis and Holiday are huge additions, and Tatum, Brown and White are all better than when Curry beat us for the chip.

    one thing to call out when people say the celtics are a live by the 3, die by the 3 team is they are a top 5 post-up team and have the best post up player in KP. they arent the harden rockets that people claim them to be. they are closer to the olajuwon rockets who won a chip in 93. that team played good defense, had alot of post-ups and had alot of 3s.

  • @randylahey8207

    @randylahey8207

    I think they can be even better than that honestly, and that's really saying something. Olajuwon is to me one of the most underrated players of all time, and that squad won back to backs in impressive fashion. But he was still the constant first option and it revolved around that. The Celtics are multiple beyond anything I've seen since the great Laker and Celtic teams of the 80's. They can beat you from any angle, be it long distance, low post, mid post, pick and roll, pick and pop, matchup isolation, or just sheer skill from a variety of options. And that's just offensively. Ppl keep pointing out how defense ramps up in the postseason, which is true, except now their starting 5 is beyond scary when they ratchet that side up. I can't remember a team with this many great to elite level defenders since the second Jordan crew of him, Pippen, Rodman, Harper. And the Celtics can even bring Al Horford off the bench or to start in case of KP injury and still not miss that much. They gotta finish obviously, but this feels like a new dynasty may be emerging..

    @@randylahey8207 all agreed. Another team comp i see when it comes to just having too many threats is the shawn kemp, gary payton, detlef shrempf, ricky davis sonics. They arent the defensive juggernaut this celtics team is but offensively just having 4 20 point scorers that compliment each other and didnt care who finished the possession, they're one of the closer comps i could think of.

    @@TheRobversion1 I loved that team. Shawn Kemp was such a beast, and their home court advantage was real. Deafening crowd that got amped up by every play they made, including the Glove shutting down almost everyone. Just like Barkley, unfortunate to live in the time of MJ...

    @@randylahey8207 yeah if they played during mjs retirement time or if mj had a season that hes was injured, i'm pretty sure that team would've won a chip. More than barkley's suns or malone's jazz or ewing's knicks.

    @@TheRobversion1 agreed. Timing plays such a role, the Rockets were ready at the exact right moment and Jon Starks decided to play hero.😂Ppl forget the Sonics were down 3-0 and could've just cashed it in against the Bulls but they came back and won two and at least made it competitive. Playing one of the best teams of all time does tend to skew our memories. But I'll never forget that team, and their awesome uniforms. Top shelf..😄

    Thank you for actually acknowledging the fact they take/generate open 3s. The narrative around "living and dying by the 3" applies to every other team playing the Celtics, not the other way around. If you get into a 3pt shootout with this team, you will lose.

    That’s cool… but basketball really hasn’t changed since it’s beginning, you have to have a strong paint presence in order to dominate and win. Look at all the NBA champs of years past, and you will see that only the Golden State Warriors were the exception! That being said, I knew the addition of Kristaps Porziņģis to the Celtics with cause the team to improve tremendously! 💯

I like the corners & top of the key. I think the top is the easiest 🤷‍♂️. Jru hit a corner 3 on Dallas the other day going to his right falling out of bounds like he was Larry bird in That OG game when he had ATL fans & Domique teammates going crazy on the bench with the crazies 3 Bird was chucking up all net. Calling glass. All that. The ATL bench was going nuts Dominique prob whoop some of they assed. In the locker room after. The disrespect 😆
