This ending always makes me feel so bad for Gangstalicious. He can’t openly be who he is, and as soon as the truth comes out, it ruins his career. Boondocks really knew how to send a message

Honestly the funniest part about this to me is definitely Grandpa Freeman’s “You a gay boy, how do that be, how do that be.”
This song adds so much to emotion to this scene. Such a great scene- the underlining social commentary really speaks.
“It’s okay son.. I know” funny scene but that part right there is beautiful to me

Nah it was definitely popular, appreciated, and got some awards/nominations back in its day. It's just only being rediscovered because of how prolific some episodes have become in the modern day. If anything about it was underrated/not recognized, it was the life struggles the creators went through while still keeping the show going strong.
