The message was true about many African American convicted of crime... However, this was not in reference to R Kelly's current cases, it was based on him urinating on that underage girl back in the early 2000's different cases. People also knew about his relationship with underage girl back then.

R Kelly is just ONE example of what this episode is trying to say. How WE, as a people that are always caught up in "who's doing something TO US", allow our own, ESPECIALLY if they're either famous, or "trendy", to do horrible, unspeakable things. From the young men with guns killing innocent kids just out playing caught in a line of fire, to "famous fools", it's time we called our our own. #Justice

This hits so hard. People really will defend a complete P.O.S like R.Kelly for the absolute dumbest reasons. For anyone who hasn't seen the full episode, the prosecutor presented indisputable evidence showing R.Kellys guilt. Seeing the writing on the wall, R.Kellys attorney decided to sway the jury by turning them against the prosecutor. Bringing up a bunch of BS that had nothing to do with the case. I was having a similar thought about black folks earlier this week. We take one incident of ridiculous charges against a black person and try to use it in every scenario. I agree wholeheartedly however we have to remember that black people aren't a monolith. Much of the problematic behaviour we see in our community takes place in the USA. Being in the UK there are definitely similar issues but also alot of positive and inspiring role models and successful black people who are taking the time to hold us responsible for our actions and in my area atleast there is a strong sense of community and nearly everyone of my friends have good jobs and are well educated and never once seen the inside of a prison.

@@user-sh2rc5kc7x I'm in the UK and I see the similar issues because the UK scene like to copy America with things like fads, "wokeness" and even words like people start saying feds (fbi not police) five-oh (part of an American code for police) and po-po (short for police that Americans use ) I only put examples in for police there but there's tons more. And because Americans don't take responsibility and accountability its leaking over to here too. Aswell as having a jobless, criminal drug addict as a hero. You know they are calling him Saint George floyd now. Disgusting. Why is it that we praise someone just because they have the same colour skin and just forget about if they are a murderer or a criminal or whatever?

As the people should! Wouldn’t you want to be defended if you really didn’t do something? Reminds me of when I was giving a speech to my coworker about how we shouldn't take from the working class, or from other black people, and he was like "If I need somethin, Imma get it." Black people today, in the age of the internet especially, are becoming more informed and well-read, from what I've seen. I'm finding that I read a lot less books than my peers. But a lotta black people just stay in the same loop, man. Idk, maybe it needs a lotta training? But I'm not out here tryna train nobody.

@@kingmuizz708 Actually, this show is targeted to a Black Audience which is why the cast is made up of mostly Black Americans and tells stories in a manner which resonates easily with the black experience. This show is the equivalent to having a "family discussion" in the "public square". So yea, just like the Show "Friends" and "Fraiser" was targeting the White viewer, the "George Lopez" show was targeting the Latino viewer, and the "Fresh off the Boat" show was targeting the Asian Viewer, this show is targeting the Black Viewer. That said, just because the show has a target audience, does not mean that the show cannot be enjoyed and understood by those outside of its target audience. This is true for every show that has ever existed.

So i think people arent as outraged as they want everybody to think they are. Theyre still gonna be stepping in the name of love at their weddings. This show was ahead of its time ❤
I'm pretty sure this is how you win court cases for real. You can literally have damming evidence against the defendant but as long as you appeal to people's emotions they literally don't care about the evidence and will fall for the sob story instead of being logical.
