thanks for the congratulations, what a great day it was. i’ll definitely be watching the championship again even though we got promoted. i think predictions are so hard to call without seeing which squads teams will have for the season, you never know some teams might make signings that make a huge difference.

I’d swap Middlesbrough and Burnley with departure of Kompany and dynamic finish by Borough if they can keep momentum……..

I’d very much take 13th

Regardless of the rankings, I am astounded to see the longest odds at only 18/1. You can get far longer odds for a three game accumulator. It seems really stingy to me. Frankly getting a promotion call right this early, even on a parachute team, should be worth at least 10/1, and for a promotion team more like 500/1.

Exactly my thought and that's why the bookies always win; rock bottom should be a minimum 24/1 and since they think there are 23 better teams 30/1 should be the starting point. Just proves that gambling is a mugs game.

From a Blackburn fan I think it will be much stronger next season because behind the scenes it’s mainly good news involving money and transfers. It is extremely likely that szmodics will leave but if we bring in a good replacement then I think we’ll do a lot better.

Argyle fan - started off very negative about the Rooney appointment. The more interviews I see and opening up to more positive views with the decision. Yes it’s likely Rooney isn’t the best of managers but we are probs the best club for him and it’s worth a punt for us. Hopefully more TV money as well. We also have one of the most attractive setups for loan players so a lot of young talent heading our way we hope. I agree we are starting an uphill battle before we even get started though.

Think the championship will be even tighter next year, 90 points will definitely be enough for an automatic promotions spot, don't think either Leeds or Burnley will be there, but Luton will. Can't see Pompey in the Top Ten but I think Sheff Weds will be .

I think the coming season will be similar to this season whereby teams who have just been relegated should be the front runners for promotion, Burnley seem to be finding their feet but it was too little too late, Luton did well and were a handful at times, Sheff Utd were dreadful but know their way around the championship, middlesbrough had many injuries and will be in the mix. My team Leeds, just like last season, i was not sure where they would finish with all the upheaval and the same applies for the coming season, the best we may get is a play off place but dont put any money on it. 8:40

Playoffs are exciting for the neutral but it’s oh cruel for Leeds. Over 46 games, they proved 15 points better than Norwich. Marginally more than Southampton good team 90-87. The 46 games really mean nothing if you aren’t top 2, it all comes down to one moment.

Probably based on the financial benefits of being in Premier league and the power of parachute payments. Whether that translates into on the pitch benefit is another matter. Burnley spent big, and now it looks like the managers gone.

I think Sheffield United will be lucky to reach seventh place by the end of the season, but it'll be fun at least this time! Up the Blades!

Rooney is an absolute football genius. All he ever needed was a foghorn and he'll get at least two in the new setup. Fill your boots. Love Preston, love Burnley, love Accy. Steak pud, chips, peas and gravy - what more can anyone want?

I think Leeds will miss out on the playoffs because we are going to need to overhaul the squad due to the amount of PL level talent on the team that is about to leave I got Burnley, Boro, and Coventry though the playoffs for promotion, and Watford, Plymouth, and Oxford for relegation

There's only one certainty for next year and that's Leeds will bottle it, again. lol UTT

I doubt you will concede 100 goals again this season.

Stoke have had a good enough squad of players to be challenging for promotion every season for the past six years. But, so far, they haven't had a manager capable of putting together a team that's consistently good enough. Too many poor team selections and negative tactics have let them down. They've been very hit and miss and inconsistent. I expect much of the same next season...

Predicting Leeds to win the championship is farcical. I think they will struggle to get into the top 6. It breaks me but this year was their best and only chance. Two from those coming down will go back up and and one of the improving sides from this year. But, no Leeds won’t be there. They fucked it up.

Given that we finished 15 points above every other team left in the Championship, and had half a squad at the start of the season, it's only the three relegated teams and how they spend their parachute money that could be a deciding factor.

@@guyberryman574 I hope you are right but that was an exceptional season and mostly impossible to do again. Additionally given that it will be a different team, no Summerville, no Rodon and who else that bails etc and they won’t be able to repeat it. I am guessing both Struijk and Bamford won’t be fit for the restart. Do you really see them going to places like Norwich, Cardiff, and Sheffield Wednesday and winning like last season no to mention the sides that are actually good. I don’t. Oh there is hope of course we get to have Brenden Aaronson back, what am I talking about we’ll be fine.

Promotion battle will not be as intense next season. They won't have three teams on the caliber of Leicester, Ipswich and Southampton to contend with. I think if West Brom keep Corberan they'll be a dark horse for autos but Norwich/Hull have new managers, I don't think the relegated 3 are as strong as the 3 that came down last season and it remains to be seen if Coventry/Boro can get back to their 22/23 form

No chance leeds will go up. Gonna lose way too many players to be a realistic promotion team next season.
