Any obedience in my life is simply out of gratitude for what Jesus did for me in the past and what he’s preparing for me in the future. It’s a humble response to being lavished with so much. When the pioneering missionary to China, Hudson Taylor, recognized the finished work of Jesus on the cross, his response was to completely devote his life to humbly serving the Lord as a living sacrifice poured out

YES, and Dalton's point is, without focusing upon "The BLESSED HOPE", of OBTAINING the INHERITANCE which the blood purchased... WHEN PERSECUTION COMES, most people won't stay "FAITHFUL UNTO DEATH" "FAITHFUL TO THE END" because Jesus "LOVED US FIRST". Jesus told us THESE THREE things REMAIN (for us to ENDURE FUTURE SUFFERING for the Kingdom: - FAITH (in the blood for Salvation) - HOPE in the FUTURE REDEMPTION (of OUR BODIES and SOULS) - LOVE (of our Saviour our God)

Amen, we love Him because He first loved us. We obey Him because we love Him. We also prepare ourselves for what is to come knowing that we see Him we shall be like Him. Jesus said if we love Him we will do His commands. Bottom line is when it comes to die for your faith it will be from your love for Him and your hope in what He has promised. I think Dalton is over thinking and over explaining this. He does come to the proper conclusion. Listen to the last 10 minutes of the video for his conclusion.

The motivation for any true believer is the new heart. We are no longer at enmity with God but have a new nature that desires to please Him. That is our singular motivation. Believers are not motivated by things to come relying on an external incentive. Hope for the future may encourage us and help us to endure but the scripture is very clear that the basis for our motivation is that we were crucified with Christ and now are a new person with a new heart and thus a new desire. In essence, my motivation is internal and that is to please my God as this brings Him glory and me great joy. Ezekiel 36:25-27 (New heart that desires to please God) and 2 Corinthians 5:17 (I am a new creation).

Read the rest of 1 Corinthians 15, which concludes with the following passage: “Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the Lord’s work, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15:58‬ The message appears consistent and unified when you evaluate the whole of the chapter.

The gospel according to this WHOLE CHAPTER is Christ incarnate, crucified, resurrected, glorified, then his return and the resurrection of all the dead in Christ, his rulership until all things are under his feet, the destruction of death itself... and even then there is more not mentioned. @@christymosher1142 ...listen to what he is actually saying...while he tries to gloss over him denying "the true Gospel" and say "that's not the Gospel." First of all Paul tells us in 1 Cor. 15:1-4 what exactly the Gospel is. Paul says this is what we STAND on and this is what we believe to be SAVED. ➡️ That Jesus died for our sins according to the Gospel, was buried and rose again on the third day according to the Scripture." ⬅️ He says in several places that that's not the gospel. Timestamp 15:28-17:00 minutes. Listen. Minute 41:00 he says God dying on the cross should be enough to motivate you, it's not! Minute 41:35 He says the historical gospel is not the gospel. Keep listening....the historical Gospel is a deficient humanistic gospel. He covers what he's saying by then saying he loves God. Remind you of someone else? He's mixing truth with lies...exactly what false teachers do. Listen...no one denies that looking forward to the 2nd coming and all our heavenly rewards is wonderful news. But to turn and attack the way of Salvation....is preaching "another Gospel." (There's only one Gospel....the death, burial and resurrection of Christ.) Gal.1:8 warns us...."if we or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel than we have preached here...let him be accursed." Look at 2 Cor. 11:4 Paul tells us in v3 as Satan deceived Eve in the garden thru subtilty....v4 they will come preaching (3 damnable heresies.)...another Jesus, another Gospel and Another Spirit. Becareful. Those not sound in the faith can be lured away and deceived. He says stuff like this might freak you out but bear with me...hear me out. (Ya hear him clearly.) 42:20 he says the death of Jesus exists to make you feel good about yourself....43:00 the death of Jesus is not going to motivate you to obedience or faith at the end of the age. We are first saved by hearing the Gospel. Then we are regenerated to New Spiritual life....then we have faith and obedience because we are now the children of God. Made into a New Creation scripture says. 45:20 he says Lord l love you and what you did on calvary but that's not motivation to lay down my life....unless something good is ahead.🧐 That's not why or how we are saved. Not because of what's coming...but what Jesus came to do the first time. No one is dismissing the future....but he has diminished what Christ has done and how we are saved. We have to have ears to hear as Jesus said. We can't just assume that everyone who claims Christ has truly experienced the New Birth and the Indwelling Holy Spirit and thus only speaks biblical truth. My heart literally stopped hearing this. I've sent it to friends and they could not believe some of what he is saying. The Gospel has never changed. Rev. 14:6 says "it's the everlasting Gospel." It never changes. We read in Gal. 3:8 that Abraham was given the Gospel. They were pointed ahead to the coming Messiah. Hebrews 11 was all about faith. We today look back. That's how we are saved. Him saying it's not enough....it's Blasphemous and Heretical. Any man who can say that the Historical Gospel is a "deficient humanistic gospel"....is not a man who should be teaching from the scripture. If the Gospel is deficient gospel....then God failed. And a humanistic gospel....Jesus was fully God, fully man. God in flesh. He just erased how we get saved. He's going to Hebrews but it's not a salvation chapter. He says he's not diminishing Christ's death....while He clearly is. Please rewatch and pay attention to the times l listed. Obedience comes because we have been Born Again...given a New heart...the Holy Spirit.... Ezekiel 36:26-27 is a beautiful picture of how God regenerate's us into New Life. It's all God...we simply believe. It's the sanctifying effect of the Holy Spirit that grows us to maturity. We can not be obedient until God changes our heart....again the New Birth. John 3:3,5

@@michellecheriekjv4115 "There's only one Gospel....the death, burial and resurrection of Christ." No, this is a central part of the "good news" and the necessary axiom upon which it can exist but the good news is only good news because it ends with the consummation of all things - would it still be good news if it didn't? Jesus restored human rulership of the earth but it hasn't been fulfilled yet so the good news is also that "God's Kingdom is coming". Everything Jesus did on the cross is only amazing if it leads to the restoration of all things otherwise how is that good news for any of us? How is Jesus dying good news when my family is being murdered in front of me if the good news doesn't also include the fact that Jesus is coming to punish the wicked, resurrect my family, and reward the obedience that led me and my family into death? This is Dalton's point. He is literally expanding the "good news" to include all that scripture has always stated it includes (over and against various cultures of church history that limited what the good news it) but you are spitting venom because you think he has diminished it. The irony is that YOU are the one diminishing the gospel to solely Christ crucified because you appear to think it is limited to that, which it never was. The good news is equally King Jesus on the throne of David ruling over the nations with a rod. It's also the New Heavens and New Earth. Have you even listened to Dalton teach before? Like all his Maranatha teachings? If not, maybe you should because you are seriously overreacting with all your proclamations of "heretic!" If you turn out to be wrong because you maybe misinterpreted Dalton, then you would be slandering him. You're acting like Dalton is some lightweight playing at theologian and that's the key reason it seems like you haven't spent much time in these parts. I have always been motivated to faith by what is "hoped for "and grateful for the gift of grace. The gift of grace is done, "it is finished". But " the good fight " is ahead and it's why we "put on the full armor of God " and we repent and don't continue to be hedonistic. I for one do not want to hear" depart from me, I never knew you". Excellent, Dalton. To supplement your comments: I have long held that repentance is more than just being sorry for our sins and promising to stop. That repentance is about changing our life focus and our perspective to a Kingdom of God focus and perspective FOR THE FUTURE. Your teaching in session 45 brings that all together. The very message about how to be saved is repent and believe. Repentance is about the future. So many of today’s altar calls only speak of belief and sorrow and forgiveness. They don’t speak to the repentance required. That’s why we see so many in the church that haven’t really seen their lives changed. They are not future aimed. Thank you, Dalton.

Yes, one must turn from the world (Satan’s way) to God and be reconciled to Him. So many messages go out now that are very selfish (want to go to heaven? Say this prayer!) and completely miss that we are being reconciled back to God. He puts His Holy Spirit in us to transform us and gives us power to live for God and to overcome the world as Scripture states. I have a heart for the lost in the church. I believe that is quite a large number because of all the false teachings and perverted “gospel” messages.

HalleluYAH. I believe in you because the spirit has been showing me many amazing things and I totally agree with brother Dalton. Legalism is believing in the law for salvation and obedience is keeping the law while having faith in the Messiah for the remission of sins. Just as yahushua for Jesus says the law was not done away with only the curse of the law to be kept so strictly for salvation but the Commandments are eternal and our faith in the Messiah with obedience in a humble way unlike the Pharisees he was reprimanding is absolute freedom. When I saw that I was not keeping the Commandments meaning the 10 moral Commandments and I started being obedient to not bearing false witness or lying it changed my life forever and from that everything else started to make sense and I just wanted to be more obedient to what the word says in the Commandments. Now I keep the dietary laws the biblical Feasts and many other Torah observances because they are good not because they're for my salvation. All the while not judging others who are on a different level or forcing it on them. When I started keeping the actual Sabbath on Saturday and not doing any work or buying and selling a changed my life again forever. I would encourage you if you haven't started doing that to start keeping the true Sabbath and resting. It's a gift. Shalom and much love

With all brotherly love Dalton, It's already pretty clear to most faithful that it is all important, the past and the future. We obey because of the past and the future, we obey because of all that God has revealed in Christ. You make it seem like we have all missed the true meaning of the gospel, and we should be looking forward as the motivation for our obedience. It's true of course, but it's also because of what happened in the past that we should be obedient, again, it all matters. I don't agree with over emphasizing one over the other. It's all important...past, present and future, making a complete whole of Biblical knowledge in transforming us into the image of Christ. Maranatha!

For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve." 1 Corinthians 15:1‭-‬5 ESV I think this is clear on the centrality of the cross and of the resurrection in the gospel.

That is not the complete Gospel-he is stating “of first importance…” and the. He goes on to speak about resurrection and who Jesus appeared to, etc. The entire chapter 15 of 1st Corinthians is about resurrection, not salvation. It was written to refute the Gnostics and the sadducees who claimed there is no resurrection of the dead. People incorrectly teach that if you believe in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ you are saved, but that is not so. We must repent, believe and have faith in Jesus. Nothing of repent or faith in 1 Cor.

I love FAI, your heart & teaching. I have to admit, I had a check in my spirit with this episode. I hear, understand and agree with most of what you have brought forth & given me insight that I hadn't thought through before. My only concern is that the inference or direct statements that what Jesus did in the past (ie enduring the Cross & subsequent Resurrection) is not enough to sustain us through what is ahead spoken of in Revelation 14. I believe Hebrews 12:1-3 explicitly tells us differently. VS 3: Just consider and meditate on Him who endured from sinners such bitter hostility against Himself SO THAT YOU WILL NOT GROW WEARY AND LOSE HEART. Hebrews is very clear here that looking back at the cross & resurrection is precisely we are to meditate on for our endurance. It is vital that both the PAST & FUTURE return are of equal merit. As VS 2 states that Jesus endured the cross for the Joy set before Him. I know you don't mean to discount what Jesus has done in the past but also looking to the joy set before us at His return. Both equally are what we need to hold fast to in order to endure till the end. Come Lord Jesus. COME QUICKLY! MARANATHA

I hear what you're saying and on one part I agree fully with you. Yes, we need to have the message of the Kingdom and of Jesus returning to establish His kingdom on earth! That's our hope! That's what we're waiting for! But the life in the Kingdom starts only with repentance and forgiveness of sins and with receiving the Holy Spirit. "The one who's been forgiven much, also loves much". It's not about loving Christ because he died on a cross, but about experiencing the consequences of it in YOUR OWN life! To have the experience of how Jesus have freed me from the bondage and slavery of my sinful (past) life - and THAT makes Christ death on the cross, His resurrection and victory over death and sin the GOOD news!! Finally I'm free! And now I wan't to continue walking in this incredible new life in obedience to God, even if it means to suffer for Him, because I don't never ever want to be apart from Him again!! And that makes me wanting to keep His commandments, so that I won't be turned away from Him in shame when He comes. And that's something I think the church is missing in many places today: the fear of God. That will keep us away from sinning and close to Him.

He rightly states that Titus 2:11-14 speaks of Past, Present and Future and that these are connected then he tries desperately to disconnect them so that he can focus on the future only. We have faith because of what Jesus did in the past, this is what strengthens us to live in the present trusting that the way we are living because of what Jesus has done will be validated and esteemed before all men at Christ return and judgement. It is all connected it is not all about the future, it is not all about the past and it is not all about the present.

Fascinating. Recently, at an evangelistic outreach where The Jesus Film was shone in a remote village, one gospel presentation turned the heads of the church-members who were present to aid in the evangelism when it was stated (something to the affect of): What Jesus did on the cross means little if we do not understand His resurrected. In like manner, His resurrection means little to us if we do not realize that we too will be resurrected. The Bible promises that ‘whoever believes in Him has eternal life.’ Eternal life in its fullness is our coming “life” that we will live in the Kingdom of Christ. It will be experienced by those who have been resurrected unto eternal life. We have confidence that the resurrection is possible as Jesus has already been resurrected. He had to be resurrected for He died to pay the full price of the penalty of our sins. I then realized that to make the hope of Eternal Life more “real” we as Christians need to expand our theology of the physical coming Kingdom of Christ and inject this theology into your gospel presentation. With the gospel, the indicative is too believe. What follows is trust and obey.
