Also, I know she's super cool, but are we supposed to agree with the Armourer? Or even want Din to WANT to get back in with these zealots? Yes, Bo was handed the saber, but her doing that didn't curse Mandalore lol The Empire were always going to want that race gone, they were too skilled and independent to survive under the Empire untouched. No matter who had the darksaber and how they got it, Mandalore was marked for death. More and more, I'm wanting Din and the Armourer to be more like Bo and the regular Mandalorians.

George Lucas' original idea for light sabers were that they were so powerful that it weighted down its wielder, thats why only Jedi and Sith could employ them. Mastering the mind would allow them to master their blade. Also the Watch are a cult, religious zealots, so its understandable that Din would just walk away regardless if he had the Dark Saber or not. The dark saber is more a symbol but not a religious relic, thats why all 3 of them are more or less like meh about its religious significance, except for Paz he wants for his clans honor Lol

I didnt get the idea that they are "meh" about the saber. They seem to care about it, but they also believe that the person who gets it through fight or duel should have it, cause its part of "this is the way" thinking. They do believe that owning the saber after fight sets them back on track to bring them back to their home. Even Armorer says so, that Bo Katan had the sword given to her and doomed their planet due to this. I think Armorer sets Djinn on path to Mandalore with that sword for more than one reason. She probably also believes directing Djinn to that planet with mythical sword may bring luck to mandalorians.

The Armorer is kinda suss. She deliberately goaded Paz Visla into challenging Din, and I think she wanted Paz to win. And I got the impression that she suspected Din had broken the Creed and used that fact to get rid of him quick once he defeated her boy Paz. Also, I've seen a theory that the Armorer is actually Rook Kast, one of the Shadow Collective, and that the horns on her helmet are to honor Darth Maul. If true she's definitely NOT trustworthy.

I’ve heard all this talk about robbing Boba of an entire episode of his own series. I don’t think so. I have to believe that F&F had planned for Boba’s storyline this season to play out over 6 episodes (not 7) from the very beginning. But during development, the decision was made to create and include this episode, strategically, into this point of the story. Doing this would bring the audience up to date with what Din has been doing since the MS2 finale, and also scratch that Mando itch we’ve all had since then. All without taking away any screen time for Boba Fett’s story to unfold. If I’m right about this, all I can say is, well done. This is the Way. Also: the ring world spaceport is known as Glavis, and I really hope we visit it again. Also: Give Bryce Dallas Howard her own Star Wars series (or trilogy) right now!!!

The BD droid we saw in the episode is probably not the same BD-1 from Jedi: Fallen Order, but it is awesome to see it regardless. I do believe that we will see Ahsoka again, as preparation for her own series that is coming soon. But I do think first and foremost that we will see Grogu and Luke Skywalker, with Mando giving Grogu his gift and Luke training Mando on how to wield the darksaber. In any case, it is going to be very interesting...

I didn't really even realize until you guys mentioned the one-take and how technically impressive it was that the entire head-delivery segment was likely heavily CGI, and I have *no* idea how much CGI the N-1 fighter was. It was all so seamless, even the droids and alien background characters just blended into "yeah, that looks right"; the whole test-run was absolutely gorgeous and again, almost entirely CGI. Their artists this season have really knocked it out of the park.

They really are blending EVERYTHING. Films, TV, games, books, comics and cartoons. Lucasfilm/Star Wars is taking "Shared universe" to a whole new level. Krrsantan from the comics. Fenic'Shan from Mando and clone wars. BD droid from Fallen Order. Darksaber, Bo'Katan and Ahsoka from Clone wars, Rebels and now Mandalorian. Hera Sindula has appeared in Bad-batch, Rebels and Star wards squadrons, quite possibly appeared in EP9 piloting the ghost. And is rumoured, along with Sabine Wren and Ezra, to appear in the Ahsoka series. It is quite impressive.

"The sacred waters under the mines of Mandalore", and "Tatooine was once covered in oceans" are too much to be coincidence. The Obi-Wan series will show us caverns under the sands of Tatooine with lakes or even oceans, and Tatooine will become the next Mandalore. The Tuskens would be a great warrior culture to bring into the Mandalorians to help fill the ranks.

It is funny, but as I watch you guys I finally think I believe the Mandalorian returned. That is to say, Din Djarin in my mind is the modern day concept of what was Boba Fett. And while Boba Fett was classified a Mandalorian, and the Star Wars canon and legends have specifically defined a "Mandalorian", there was a time wherein the meaning of "Mandalorian" was in mind and imagination of the audience. Din Djarin returns to the made up concepts of what it means to be a Mandalorian only to be told that he no longer fits the strict concept, and by the end of the episode he readily accepts returning to the original Boba Fett. The Mandalorian again becomes and can be what we perceive or imagine him to be. Meta.

I love the way the describe the N-1 as being "bumpy" because that's how real planes feel. Cargo/passenger planes are designed to be stable and comfortable but the side effect is that they aren't super maneuverable. A F-16 fighter jet is designed specifically to be unstable in the air because it makes them more twitchy/maneuverable

I always loved the Naboo starfighter in games. Fast, maneuverable, and generally had adequate shielding and weapons. I love Mando's hot-rodded version. Speaking of the games, I was really familiar with that pod-racing track, not only from Episode 1, but also from the N64 game, Pod Racer. I still have the pod I built in the game stored on a memory card and can jump on and play any time I like.

I know what you guys mean about tapping into our memories of Star Wars. I haven't seen a prequel in ages but they exist in my memory. As the content of those films is referred to or built upon by other shows, those memories get updated. I wasn't a fan of the prequels when they came out (I'm late 40s) but they are becoming better movies because the story they are built on is growing like this.
