The Bodyguard is a true classic, unforgettable forbidden love story. Its gonna take Hollywood a lot to make another movie about forbidden love that has such an impact on so many people, people loved this movie. The reason people changed and it was a time when love had broken the walls down of what was and wasn't accepted. Another movie that crossed into this was Crazy Beautiful, it is a movie that touches into what young love is and sets aside those boundaries that let people see, the choice is our children's, and they love us but it is better to love them then lose them. For life's too short to carry around anger, and the loss to heavy to bare if we push them away.

People think interracial relationships were a big deal in 1992. They were not. I had a friend with interracial parents in the 70s. Tina Turner married Irwin Bach. When you were one of the greatest superstars of the 80s, no one would have frowned on you marrying Kevin Costner and everyone would have loved it.

@@ravenel2 I agree that by 1992 it wasn't a big deal but that is an issue where people will say one thing but often think something else and it cuts every which way and in all directions. People of two different ethnicities getting married can still (and likely always will) stir up conflicting emotions among family and friends. Very few are bothered by it in a general way, but in a practical sense it is still frowned upon. If it wasn't still somewhat "forbidden" there would be far more interracial couples as a percentage of all couples, wouldn't you think?

Yea, but he can't do a British accent. He tried that in Robinhood. He was so bad that the director wouldn't let him attempt it. Ha Ha I suppose "M" could have hired an undercover CIA operative to do some extracurricular activities for the Queen. That would have worked.

Even though he's bleeding out, Frank has enough common courtesy to yell "look out" to the panicked crowd before he pops Portman lol

Kevin Costner is an ecxelente actor, mudician and as far as I am concerned, the sexiest man alive...I love the interview where they told him about kissing Whitney Houston in the Bodyguard twice, he answered that it was one for the film and one for him... Precious!!!

She's asking the staff what they're doing trying to take away his gun. That's why immediately after she yells that he's her bodyguard.

This movie was so great. I guess critics and a lot of people never realized that upon its first showing.

They knew it was great but they hated the fact that it was interracial love story and didn't want the public to be influenced by it. But the public had their own mindset and didn't care about the critics opinions. It pretty much backfired & Kevin won. Because it was his idea.
