I Saw the movie last night with a dear friend, Who love Bob, and Reggae music, We sat in our seats, not knowing what to expect, because of past reviews, From the first second All in the cinema were hooked, I can understand what the director was thinking, with his choice on who to depict Bob Marley's life, from the beginning to the point of the bad toe, Both including the lady that play Reta Marley, they were excellent, What a slap from Reta, don't forget it's a movie, remembering the king and what he had to go through to take reggae music to where it has reach today, He had a great foresight for his version of how he wanted his message to be received, everyone in the cinema sat in their seats until the end of the rolling credits, I waited to see who would leave their seats before the end, and no one did, That was unusual to see, I think the ending was left, for us to see ONE LOVE 2. Like all of bobs Riddims, they are still being bought and listen to since his death until today, every time this movie is shown twenty years from now on Tv,, Everyone will take it in, and say that was a great depiction of Bob's life. See it for yourself, you will leave your seats, saying that was great. ENJOY..

Agree they should do a Jimmy Cliff and Peter Tosh movie. You mentioned get up stand up, just for your information Peter Tosh wrote GET Up Stand Up. Peter Tosh was soo special, Jimmy Cliff, Desmond Dekker, Toots and the Maytals. I'm soo proud to be a Jamaican woman who grew up in the sixties. There will never, ever be times like those again. Never, Ever!!. 🙏 🤲 heart ❤️

I finally saw the movie last night and recorded my initial reaction..not sure about uploading it lol. I really appreciate your honest perspective and I feel the same way. I'm from Louisiana, however I've had the opportunity to visit Montego Bay, Jamaica several times and it was a bit nostalgic to see the island and how beautiful it is especially the further you go up into the communities in the mountains. I really miss being around that amazing culture. Bob Marley is a very important iconic Legend in my life so I was singing and crying throughout the viewing..it was amazing to see this important moment in history💯

I agree this movie is great for Jamaica and the Rasta movement. I’ve seen the movie twice and more than likely gonna see it again. With what they left out i could only hope they do something with it because it’s a shame his early life wasn’t explored more in depth nor his Africa tour. Covering his death may have been too sad for the general audience. But we need this movie to do well for Jamaica.

Life is a dream and everything in life, like the Bible, should be taken as symbolic. For instance, when His Majesty came on the scene and those in Jamaica began identifying themselves as Rasta, it was divine! Selassie never said he is our leader but we knew it instinctively, telepathically, Intuitively! The Rastas are a world created unto H.I.M by his "SUBTILE" Majesty. I personally believe the Rastafari movement is a progression! Not all the cards are on the table. We know at its core Rastafari is a black liberation movement. Truth be told, Rastas are supposed to be like sages or monks such as the Sadhus of Hindu, early Egyptian Gnostics of Christianity and Sufis of Islam etc. Many are also unaware that the Bahitawi monks of Ethiopia are the descendant of the followers of Heru-Behutet (Mesenti=Makonnen) and Set (also known as Shemsu Har). These were the old Heri-Seshta (Master of the Mystic Arts) that were the custodians of the sacred/hidden mysteries (The name Hesus Christos/Jesus Christ's comes from this Title). Haile Selassie's name also comes from 'Heri-Seshta' and 'Heru-Khuti' (Horus of the Pyramids). The name 'Bahitawi' is derived from Behuti meaning Thrones and Winged Disk pertaining to both Heru and Set. In fact, just as how the Pharaoh associated himself with Heru, the kings in pre-dynastic (Some also in early dynastic Egypt) used the name Herui to represent Kingship. Herui was not only a title of the twin gods (Heru-Set) but also the name of the 5th nome in upper Kamit and its capital Gebtu. The words ‘Egypt’ and ‘Copt’ (Coptic) are derived from Gebtu (Gebts, Ethiopic name for Egypt). Heruy or Kheruy means Chosen One in Ethiopic. True Ras Tafari culture is connected to Typhonian culture in predynastic Egypt. After Gerald Massey discovered this within the British Museum they locked down everything related to Typhonian (Tafarian) culture and this is why to this day little is known of pre-dynastic Egypt. Rastas don't even know the etymology of the word Rasta, which was the most important thing within the ancient Kushite/Egyptian Science but we will leave that discussion for another day. What most people don't know, including the Rastas, is that not Selassie but Bob was and is the actual fulfilment of the Messiah/Christ (1st advent of fictitious Jesus of the Bible). Bob at some point knew this because he began lining up himself to the story of Jesus within his proverbial music. Qedamawi Haile Selassie was not the second coming of Jesus (Yeshua/Yahoshua) who never existed. The Bible is a compilation/fragments of ancient metaphysical knowledge and information preserved! The Kushite/Egyptian Priests foreseen the fall of their empire before the time of the Ptolemaic Kingdom and hid this information in what we know as the Bible today. What many people don't know is that the Hebrew language spoken today is a mixture of Yiddish, German and Indo-European tongue which is not the original Hebrew (Misnomer). Niger-Congo language (Malinke-Bambara, Igbo, Akan etc.) is the mother of all Semitic Languages. Paleo-Hebrew was actually an archaic-Akan Language, which was related to Medu-Ntoro (mispelled Medu-Neter). This is why Hebrews (Jews) are also found within West Africa. The land of Kanana or Kan'anu (Canaan) was an Akan empire along with Akade (Akkadian). Akade is actually Akani i.e. Akan. You see the 'Kan' or 'Khan' in all these ancient places such as Ki-en-gi (Kangi=Kanni) which is Sumer. The Akan people re-established the Khahn (mispelled Tehenu) of the Western Desert in Libya and the Khanit of the Southern Desert in Sudan/Ethiopia after the Great Flood destroyed much of the Anu/Pygmy cities. They migrated first from the ancient 'Zingh Empire' (Proto-Sahara) situated in Mauritania and Mali which later became the Ghana empire before they settled in present day Ghana. Most Jamaicans are descendants of Ghanaian via the Coromantee Tribe during slavery. Coromantee are the same Garamantes who rule the Fezzan region of southern Libya. It was also said Marley's maternal grandmother has Egyptian roots while his maternal grandfather was from the Coromantee. The Hebrews of the Bible were nothing more than the Kushites/Egyptian! Hebrew is a composition of two words in Akan and those are 'biri' and 'hyew' both meaning ‘burned, blackened’ (Hybrew=Hebrew). It can also be from the Erie Akan people called the Gyama. The key here is that Gyama people in Ivory Coast are called ‘biri’ or Ebrie (Hebrew=Eber). The ‘gy’ in Gyama can be pronounced as the ‘chuh’ and 'Kuh' sound. Hence, Gyama is Kama which is Kamit (Egypt). Gyama means Black people in Akan and Egyptian. Thus, the words Hebrew and Jew meant Black and are related to Egypt (Kam or Kamit). This is how we know Bob is the Messiah (Maa-kher in Egyptian) and Christ (Seshta in Egyptian) because his story also matches that of the deity Ausar (Osiris) and Heru the Child (Horus) which the tale of Jesus was grated from. For instance, even the Astro-theological story of Jesus (Meaning the path of the sun through zodiacal signs) and all the Saviors of Antiquity was fulfilled by Bob Marley on the Terrestrial plane. Bob Marley's birthday is February 6, 1945 (2/6/1945) but when multiply in the science of numerology, it has the numerical significance of 2160 (2x6x1x9x4x5) symbolizing an "Age"; Hence the Sun takes 2160 years to traverse each zodiacal signs/house. In the year 1969, Bob prophesied the age he would die. The date of his death is 5/11/1981, and when multiply in the science of numerology has the numerical significance of 360 (5x1x1x1x9x8x1), representing one complete revolution of the precessional cycle (25,920 years) of 360 degrees and Bob died at age 36. So like Christ, Bob in his birth and Death symbolizes the Journey of the Sun through the entire 12 signs of the zodiac or one complete round of the Great Circle. Bob was also a practitioner of Obeah/Myal and a Palmist which he was born with and groomed by his grandfather Omeriah Malcolm (Cedella Booker's Father). Even his first name 'Nesta' before they changed it to his middle name was a Title of Osiris as Asar-Nesti (Nestȧ). We know all this because as Bob glorified Selassie, We glorified Bob since his portion belongs to us and we show it unto the people! gyazo.com/8c7dc0c11af145fd94da370aee6a8e95 gyazo.com/10682c4eed864da44d1e7ec8cec60305
