@@BDizDaBest everything about this comment is wrong. First, saying that he’s going to miss Brandon 4+ years past Brandon’s age out is stupid. It makes no sense, implies a misunderstanding. Second, using the word “compete” is a stretch of that words definition. Note that BD has never placed out of the top 2 for more than a decade. Especially that SCV is gone, this “guy” isn’t competing against anything, and let alone probably isn’t a center snare or section leader. Let me know your thoughts, “smart guy”.

Nowhere in your rambling, idiotic, non-sequitur-laden screed did you even mention - let alone dispute - what I actually said, so here’s a reminder: I said that the OG commenter was referring to HIS first year marching, not Laurent’s (which anyone with even the slightest modicum of reading comprehension would’ve been able to ascertain, but I guess the whole reading thing isn’t your strong suit). 2. Actually, it’s quite possible to continue to miss someone even when they’ve been gone for a while. I still miss Neil Peart even though he died in early 2020. Speaking of missing, I think I missed the day when you were crowned the grand arbiter and judge of when it is ok to miss someone and when it isn’t. 3. You have no idea where the OG commenter is marching this year, so you saying that he “isn’t competing” with Laurent and that he “isn’t a center snare or section leader” makes you a presumptuous cock. Even if you are correct and he is marching at a lower level corps, he is still absolutely within his rights to say he’s competing against Laurent. At the end of the day, he’s still putting in the same work, sweating on those same fields, and doing all the things that Laurent is doing. Even if the OG commenter is marching with the shittiest Open Class corps there is, he could still be in silent competition with Laurent, studying his technique and style and working hard to get to that level someday. That kind of competitive and ambitious mentality is what brings greatness out in people. Too bad you’re too petty to understand that.

Following up on the recent reply to say that I would highly recommend auditioning as early as possible for anywhere that you can. Even getting a good education and experience from camps can help mold you into the performer that you want to be sooner

Which corps did you come from?

Very confused on what happened. Most corps don’t allow rookies to be section leaders no matter how good. Something must of went down.
