The one Kid who got to be Maverick. Im so jealous. I gave up when I learned I had to have 20/20 vision. Probably had to be alot more book smart also.
My Dad is a Blue Angel... He served on the USS Kitty Hawk CV-63 and was picked up for the Blues in 1969 as an AE2. I served on the USS Forrestal CV-59 from 1989-1992. I couldn't be more proud of my Dad and having served my country in the United State Navy! Go Navy!!! BEAT army!!!

What an incredible and exciting documentary!!! I live in Pensacola and the Blue Angels are truly a national treasure. THE BEST OF THE BEST!!! GO ANGELS
My husband PRC (ret) packed many seat pans, parachutes, and numerous survival equipment at the "I" level for the Blues for 11 years. I'm so proud him and his accomplishments. The "Aircrew Survival Equipmentmen"| rate (PRs) has a saying, "We're the Last to Let you Down." He too, served on the USS Kitty Hawk forward deployed in Japan 2001-2004. GO NAVY!! I never get tired of watching, The Blue Angels!

I've had the honor to fly with the Blue Angels twice. It is something I will never forget, and neither will my stomach. At least I didn't have to use the barf bag they gave me "just in case". I came closer to using the barf bag when I first flew with the US Army Golden Knights Parachute Team.

I was studying to get my private pilot license in high school, but I had to give it up because I was diagnosed with epilepsy and that automatically gets you grounded. Later on during my working career I got a chance to work at Hartsfield International Airport as a contract security officer at both passenger checkpoint and at Northwest Airlines maintenance base, across from Delta jet base back during the 90s. Most fun I ever had during my entire working career. Now retired I find myself looking up every time I hear anything overhead., when the Aviation bug bites it bites hard and for some of us it's for life. I can fully understand why Glenn Powell wanted to do this documentary film ., to this day the scent of jet fuel takes me back to one of the best times of my life.😊
Who else has the Top Gun movie soundtrack playing in their head while watching these wonderful images?

Currently in NAS Pensacola, this is awesome.
High school friend and I joined the Navy in 1964 after graduating class A school he got the Blue Angles and I was stationed NAS North Island working in O&R department when the Blue Angels put on their show. Don’t remember the year but they were flying the A4 Skyhawks.

Perhaps you and your buddy joined the Navy in 1974? The Blue Angels flew the A-4F Skyhawk from late 1974 through the first half of 1986. They flew the F11-F Tiger and F-4J Phantom from 1957 through 1974.

Just watched on Prime. Beautifully documentary.
Blue Angels were right by my house a year or so ago doing practice runs and they put on a show for the whole neighborhood. We live only a mile or two away from a regional airport so that's where they were taking off from. Everybody came out of their house to watch, it was a grand spectacle. They flew over us really low and to see how close they get to each other while going that fast is just insane.
I love seeing The Blue Angels team for the U.S. Navy and the flying shows too.
Love this - when I was 10 years old I asked the then Captain, Casey Jones for an autograph. I didn’t have a piece of paper, so my mom grabbed her cheque book. Captain Jones then said “who don’t make it out to?” 😂😂😂😂 He was so nice and so handsome. 😊

One of the best aviation cinematic documentary's on earth. Stunning and really powerful. Featuring never-before-seen footage. 10/10 for sure.
I watched these guys in action in El Cajon, CA 2 months ago. I was in AWE And DISBELIEF at the maneuver's they pull off in these jets. Also got too see some incredible jets like the F-35 Lightning OMG!
I LOVE the Blue Angels. I have seen them many time and am always awestruck.
I saw the blue angels with my Dad at Opa Locka Airport in Miami Florida around 1992-1993.
Oh F**k yea, I'm excited for this one
Total awe watching them. And Boss, he looks like he’s taking a drive on a Sunday afternoon, like it seems so effortless watching him fly. would love to see that in person.
Our family collects historic aircraft. We were lucky enough to get the 1992 #1 Blue Angel, piloted by Captain Greg Wooldridge. We will be able to restore the cockpit, and will be making some commemorative/collectible tags out of parts and pieces that we can’t use in the restoration. This particular Blue Angel has some amazing history. I’ve been a Blue Angels fan for as long as I can remember. I cannot wait to see this!

When I was 12 years old, I use to see them fly over us in Denver, Co. we would be waving at them and they wave back at us. So awesome to see and now I tell my boys about Blue Angel flying over and by us

I thought of Growling Sidewinder in the opening sequence not realizing the seemingly solo boat was actually acting or serving as the teams point of reference or water IP...sometimes they will use a barge, a tug boat if doing a show along the Mississippi River or other rivers, bodies of water...used as a visual reference when over water...On a side note...Notice all the other boats lined up further off shore...If never visited Pensacola, Destin or LA (Lower Alabama).. then you are missing our on, IMO, the most beautiful beaches in the world...Large, sugar white, soft...water is almost "bath-tub" warm and where the boats were anchored to watch the show or practice may have been no more than 4-5 ft deep due to sand bars...where their marker boat (not sure of technical term) is located the water probably is ~10-15ft deep... For many of us who live or lived in the areas we prefer people to consider LA and the panhandle an extension of the still prevalent stereotype trope the media's narrative has yet to deviate from...and I hope they continue because not having highrise resorts lining the coastline is truly a beautiful site...
This documentary was amazing!
