Based on the map, Lyptsi seems to be in the low land surrounded by high land on the east and west. The west side is also very forested. The russians will not enter the town until they figure out where everything hides around and clean it. I bet they will first extend south on the East side to secure one high side, and see if they can get to the west side forest from the North or west. Capturing territory, is then a secondary matter while removing enemies from the battlefield is the decisive tool for victory. Russia is bizzy processing all the Ukrainians that are surrendering, at the same time gathering information and calibrating their next targets, while giving more Ukrainians time to surrender. The Ukrainian soldiers are seeing the strength of Russian Forces, so they are wising up and realize that surrendering is their only chance for a future.

The last estimation was a couple months. Now they progressed so much to a point of encirclement of the most fortified positions - so it reduced to weeks.

I would not define the Ukrainian ones as brigades, but simply groups, as they were decimated by the various bombings in the previous sectors, there are no longer defined brigades, but unions of old brigades in one. These with large replacements of inexperienced people. Confirmed by the daily Russian progress, that every conquest must necessarily clear the territory of any traps.
