They just don't make people like Peter Cushing any more. I grew up with him and Christopher Lee, watching everything they did, staying up and watching the double features and scaring myself. I wish people still behaved with so much class.
Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing are the best horror movie pairing ever,. No one will ever come close to them.

The name could be better. Terror of the Were-Moth or some such. I like the Were creatures. Weresharks could transform in water but they they can also breath underwater in human form. I'd say all Were people should keep half the strength of their transformative form.

Vincent Price, Peter Cushing end Christopher Lee are the best horror actors during the 1950s and 1960s. They took the place of Lugosi, Karloff and Chaney.
RIP Roy Hudd who died on Monday. He had a career in comedy for about 5 decades, and was an expert on British music hall history.
Peter Cushing made this movie worth watching with the way he carried himself despite its ridiculous plot. It makes one forget the plot, and just focus on him.

It's so easy to see the change in Peter Cushingin the films he made before and after his wife died. Since this film was made when his wife was still alive, it's clear to see that he was quite relaxed, but after she died, his heartbreak was so obvious in his appearance and the way he carried himself.

Yes, the change was never more so than when Peter made 'The Ghoul' when in one scene with Veronica Carlson, his wife's photo can be clearly seen, and you could see the tears in his eyes! It is said that they had to abandon shooting after this scene, because he was so overcome with grief!

Benedict Cumberbatch's smashing mum as well as Roy Hudd-what a completely bonkers film that Cushing would have enjoyed! He liked lowering himself to films like this because he wasn't pretentious, unlike Gielgud or Olivier. He turned up as a guest on Morecambe and Wise, for goodness' sake! A great actor for all seasons, and sorely missed.

These old movies did not have much of technology, effects, but they were very rich in tales and stories, by far much better than most of today’s films that we see everywhere.
Another excellent performance from Peter Cushing, with some familiar faces including Wanda Ventham .
Don't know why this film is so hated I love it, Vernon Sewell always delivered watchable guilty pleasures.
I like so much the atmosphere of these old moovies. Perfect!
Thanks for putting this up to watch not seen this for many years and any 60s horror with Peter Cushing is sooooo worth it.

I really like these films from an earlier era. Well crafted scripts, excellent actors and actresses and superb production values. No swearing either, which is something that really sets these masterpieces aside from what we are 'fed' on today's conveyor belt of bubble gum for the mind. Obviously some will ridicule my thoughts, but even the worst scripts from yesteryear stand well up against most more modern productions.

"...has created a huge Deaths-Head moth that lives on human flesh." - only Peter Cushing could pull that one off.
This is a classic horror with PETER CUSHING. Peter Cushing did not like this film. But for me this is a underrated film. With Peter Cushing in a film you can't go wrong.
Wonderful actors legends of hammer horror, Ingrid pitt was wonderful too in that genre, brings back memories of my mum and I sat up watching the movies on a Friday night, I once did a howling noise just as my mum was coming up the stairs, she ran after me shouting “you had me jumping out of my skin ya frightened me to death then!!! Good job I could run into my bedroom sharply lmao
When exactly did we as a culture forget how to make movies?
Saw this when it was originally released. It was in a double bill with something, the title of which I can't remember. It is a bit tacky and cheap, but it stuck in my memory and I'm still very fond of it. RIP Roy Hudd, you'll be missed.

I was born in 1989. It was the mid 1990s going to say 1996, maybe 1997 and Channel 4 are running a Friday Night Fright Night and they show From Beyond the Grave (1973) and this film The Blood Beast Terror (1968) both starring Peter Cushing and then lastly The Ghoul (1933) starring Boris Karloff.
this movie is one of peter cushings best films he ever made.
I love the pre-title sequence set in Central Africa, where the explorer is searching for the revolting giant moth pupae. I think it was actually filmed on the Thames up from Teddington, interspersed with animal clips from nature documentaries and with a jungle sound track. No matter - it's still atmospheric and a great intro to the subject of the film!

So painfully cheap but fun. Look out for 19th century cops using quill pens and Peter Cushing lighting a fire with a light bulb.
A young David Griffin (William) who played Emmet in keeping up appearances. Peter Cushing made this a good film.
Fantastic. Wanda was so beautiful.
That Roy Hudd was so funny as morgue attendant eating his dinner.
15:11 Fab to see a young Roy Hudd, God bless him. I was lucky enough to meet and chat with him once, when he was a guest on a chat show I was TV researcher on. I've always wondered if Roger Corman's earlier "The Wasp Woman" might have inspired the makers of this fun, crazy flick. Sure, it's pure 100% hokum, but who cares ?! Besides, the film has its definite merits--genuine exteriors and impressive sets, authentic costumes, and good lighting to name a few. Don't be hypercritical, just sit back and enjoy !

A little factoid. Wanda Ventham, the moth/woman, is the mother of the actor Benedict Cumberbatch, he of 'Sherlock' fame. Anywho, these films might seem laughable considering today's cinematic advances including CGI but back then they scared the bejaysus outa most kids. And Peter Cushing, along with Christopher Lee, held us enthralled.

Tamo junto!
This is a very researched movie as far as i know, i loved it even the play they did was entertaining 10/10 ,they even had a life imitating art theme at the end of the play ,like all science fiction makes it up and science makes it come true years later
Glad i found this channel... love old movies.... wonder if any factual movies will be added
