This is so exciting to me! I just ordered a Backun Q Series bass clarinet, and I live in a small apartment. Most stands would take up way too much floor space to justify. And the possibility of adding other pegs to it is also very interesting. I've ended up becoming a general woodwind teacher, and I have a real nest of stands in my teaching room. It would be really nice to consolidate that into just two stands.

Your story is representative of what makes this product so wonderful. The impact it has to most people is not huge - but it solves monumental problems for some. Not only does it solve them, it adds flexibility, elegance, and cool factor that is unbelievable. Julie is a great person who has taken the mantle of a great product. YAAAAAAAAAS! I am still using an OG Blayman stand from the 80's! Best clarinet stand EVAAAAAR! Mine is over thirty years old and still going strong, although the screws on my Bb and A pegs have rusted into the base. 🤣 Although my trusty double stand has a good deal of patina, I really want a blue one! Thanks for bringing this information to us and the interview was icing on the cake. I think woodwind doublers should be setting the standard for clarinet stands because you switch instruments much more frequently and really put them through their paces. I'm glad to see this is a product being revived and designed by musicians for musicians- they really did sweat the deatils on these- so exciting! This video made my day!

Thanks John! Julie and I have known each other a while and I was thrilled that such a great person took over and put these back into the world. I want a blue one as well. I want the white on my pegs. I want the bass clarinet stand. What I have is a very dusty 25 year old base with more than enough 25 year old pegs. I was thinking - when I bought this stand what was going on in the world? Bill Clinton was president, Cher had the number one song, Tim Duncan and Sean Elliot were featured on NBA Jam, and we were all worried about Y2K. Blayman stands by getting dusty and crushing the job

That would be totally cool...but it would seem very weird to be playing somewhere dark enough that the glowing would be triggered. Perhaps in a setting where all the music is memorized
