After the fish kill that wiped out all the fish stock in the lake, i was told they found a dead common over 60lb that had never been caught!

@@richardwalker4220 quite possibly. All the pits in the area have a record of specimens of both species. It was/is a very very rich lake. I'm sure a few 'new' fish have found their way in there.

How long was that fish out thr water.... no wonder it died at a young age

It didn't die at a young age. The entire lake's fish population died in one go about 9 years after this capture. Everything in the lake died. Carp, pike, eels, tench, snails etc etc. Completely wiped out due to a natural algae bloom and oxygen crash.

I agree, two pics each side. Two minutes out of water at most. I've been carp fishing fifty years and have never had a fish out of water .for longer
