Great music and film. I think it was the recession tbh. Economically bad periods usually produce great music etc. Look at the early to mid 70s and mid to late 80s. Then the late 00s to early 10s. Then by comparison the periods of good economic times produce mainly dry and overly happy music. What I notice anyways. Mid to late 90s for example was a huge boom for Europe and America and nothing but cheesy pop that was all happy and smiles
