    Travis Kitkowski Certain sweeps (probably like the ones you are practicing) are pretty easy because the shape is basic. Alternate picking is the same but Ryan Knight has written some very difficult progressions, like alternate picking I'm sure there are sweeps that will be extremely difficult for you to learn. I know this because I can sweep pick but there are definitely some sweeps I can't play.

    He was probably on auto-pilot. Once you play a solo 100 million times, it just becomes muscle memory. It was probably tough as balls when he first wrote it, but after that it just.. happens...

    I grew up near Ryan and we both played in local bands back in Middle Georgia. Never really friends with him, but one of my close friends was one of his best friends, haha. So I sorta knew him and hung out by proxy, if you will. Awesome guy. Super stoked that he's made it to this level. He was always the best guitarist around, so I'm not that surprised, but it's still pretty fucking great.

    I think it's a based take BUT I believe that Black Dahlia has the BEST solos in the genre. It doesn't get better and specifically Ryan I think has flow, phrasing and style unmatched. Damn, he is so good

    I think they're just the best in the genre period. greatest death metal band of all time. they set a new standard with every release to remind everyone they're the kings, lol. every aspect of their music is top-notch

    I wouldn't say having huge hands is that big of an advantage. Sure, you have a longer reach, but sometimes they just get in the way.

    VFAtv8 when you can just get jumbo frets or xl frets that makes no difference. larger hands are a complete benefit. but his hands are fat too, that's where having bigger hands can be a pain
