exactly this. its exactly why i fell in love with them. Along side the melodic beast that they are. man, i only wish people would listen to and appreciate this stuff more

I'd disagree, there's still Cradle of Filth, and Manowar, and Therion who are simply objectively better on the poetic department. But TBDM have truly outstanding lyrics for American melodic deathcore, or whatever you'd qualify this genre.

RIP Papa Trev - They end every one of their shows with this song. "Deflorate" which this song is off of is my favorite album of theirs. Check out "Christ Deformed"

TBDM drums are always top notch. I think that's one of the things that make them so absolutely unique for me -- the drums are just fire squared.

IMHO TBDM would be ruined by clean vocals. these guys are the epidemy of melodic death metal.

Hands down one of the best death metal bands of the last 20 years. Their progression through each album was unreal!

I highly recommend listening to the song in hell is where she waits for me by them. Very well written song lyrically and instrumentally and the song is written about the murder in the pov of the murder

I’m a long time vocalist and can cover all this stuff. Was supposed to play a show with Lorna Shore back around 2012 before they exploded in popularity but they had to cancel the show. I’m in Michigan and would love to find a group of dudes who can keep this type of pace to start a new band and I’m able to do clean singing vocals as well. My vocal style is a lot like this mixed with Lorna Shore’s sound. I see that Ohio State tat. Lemme know if you’re a drummer and wanna chat, brother!

For a cheat sheet of incredible songs (no particular order): What a Horrible Night to Have a Curse Nocturnal Everything Went Black Deathmask Divine Warborn Abysmal Nightbringers Kings of the Nightworld Widowmaker Miasma Verminous Sunless Empire Removal of the Oaken Stake The Window Carbonized in Cruciform On Stirring Seas of Salted Blood Moonlight Equilibrium Statutory Ape So many more that it's honestly hard to keep track at this point. They have 9 full albums, and off every single one, there's a minimum of 3-4 incredible songs with another 3-4 being great-or-better as well. An incredibly consistent and productive band.

Aftermath has me fired tf up. I’m so excited for the new album and I love so much that they didn’t end the band. It continues imo almost just as strong and Trevor would be proud🫶🏻
