It’s weird that the Mazin Hamsters weren’t mentioned. The Mazin Hamsters had their own game within Webkinz world , but it closed in 2015. Basically, the Mazin Hamsters lost an important place or hometown.

I got 2 Webkinz when I was a Kindergartener. I played the online game very briefly, until my mom realized there was an online chatroom and forbade me from playing altogether. I didn't really mind, though. I just played with them like they were regular stuffed animals for the next several years. Watching this video made me sad that my mom made me kill 2 Webkinz and I was essentially playing with their corpses.

that's a shame, because the chatroom feature in webkinz has always been HEAVILY moderated and restricted, its one of the safest chat systems I've ever seen. You definitely would have been fine

I learned so much from webkinz, whether it be creating my first username, owning a garden, making online friends, gambling (wishing well), my first loss, taking care of my webkinz, bathing my pets, some more gambling (wheel of wow), fun games, and owning a home, and using the wasd keys instead of arrows. 2nd best game I ever played as a kid was on miniclip called raft wars, and nitrome games Thanks for the nostolgia choopo -🎩💐

i've seen a few episoes and it turns out it's not. the toys aren't aliv eon their own. she just had a magic sethoscope that brings them to life. that's why they can move around her which would be unacceptable in the toy story universe.

Apparently there were plans for a crossover episode that were later scrapped.

The thing I remember from Webkinz was the insatiable hunger for rare stuff to put in your house - like I spent legit months trying to get this bumper car you could drive around. I also remember that there was another game like Webkinz for a slightly older audience, called Millsberry I think.

Webkinz was so important to me as a child, I had like five of them and played it a lot. It was so fun, and each mini game was great. I would have sleepovers with my friend and we would play it together. It was like the only multiplayer online game I played as a young kid. No club penguin, no Wizard 101, no ruinscape. Just Webkinz

When you said “Webkinz killer” I had shivers down my spine the TRAUMA

My 126 webkinz have become self sufficient to the point I only even have to check on em every once in a while. Like most of them are fully employed and they live in a mansion with a loaded bank account and enough birthday cake to feed a small country. I’d say they’re doing pretty good.

gazpacho had some stories in the newzpaper when they did those. one of which was a rival restaurant and him having to find a way to compete with the new dishes they were serving. unfortunately i can't find it online, it might rotate around since they rotate through them still (albeit an archive)

man it feels like ass to actually know more than the video you watched. the zingoz have a z there were more w tales stories released in the newzpaper, but screenshots of most were lost. one of them gave amanda an origin (she moved from the city, hated it, tried to run away, met a friend and found the wish machine) though most other characters are originless the googles are actually a pre-existing ganz toy from the 80s-90s which they put into the game as a nod to their legacy. they're primarily associated with what ganz calls its "heritage collection" oh and also webkinz went free to play years ago, you don't have to buy a pet unless you want to send gifts n shit, and even then, they have deluxe that can basically just do that anyway, especially with the actual plush having their quantity limited also they had an faq on the site that pretty much said webkinz don't die and are basically kids ala nintendogs so i had no reason to assume as a kid that the killer rumor held weight

Specifying that Smoogle had Olimar as his main in Smash Bros. gives his resume a whole new level of lameness. Well played.

There used to be a really small official webkinz/ganz store near my cousins house (in the country idk why it was there but it was) and once me and my siblings went there cause my siblings had saved up money to buy webkinz, the guy working at the store was this sweet old man and he asked if I was getting anything, but I wasn't because I didn't have money saved up (I was too young to help shovel snow and do other chores for neighbors for money), so the guy played a really obvious "guess what hand it's in" game with a pack of the trading cards and gave me a pack of trading cards, for free. i will always cherish that memory. The store is no longer there.

When i was in foster care i played Webkinz a lot my username was a bunch of random letters so i lost access to my account when i left foster care😂 Rosebud and bdude are long gone now but ill always remember the fun i had on this silly game during that time they were a yellow lab and a gecko

When I was a kiddo, I had like 12 Webkinz, and I prized them over my own life 😂 I also loved the minigames (especially anyrhing with Poncho). Plus when I was about 10 my best friend moved away, we stayed in contact by playing the Tournament Arena for hours. Those were the days ❤

its a shame there isnt more documentation on the attempted webkinz spin-offs : (.. i have had my account since 2008 and while i dont actively play as often now ive still followed the general happenings within the game and theres so much no one seems to talk about ever

This game was literally my childhood, I played it every day for like 7-8 years straight with my sisters. Looking back on it, the only reason it was fun is because we would compete to see who could get the best scores, the most Kinzcash, and who could collect the most cool stuff, but it was genuinely a good time Edit: I still have my collection of Webkinz lol

I said it before and I’ll say it again but the fact this glorious man is lore hunting for such intensely minute yet deep lore is kind of obscene

I have never seen your content before but you have such witty humor that you go by so fast you almost miss it. I found myself laughing so much. I love this video.

There is also the struggle that the bars for the Webkins are super hard to refill, especially one you have more then 5 on an account for gaining money was slow and maintaining health cost, Im pretty sure even if I managed to log back into my account I'd not be able to get any of my Webkins to full recovery.

they're broken when wandering around the game while asleep. energy can be regained via repeatedly going on a treadmill/trampoline and happiness is so easy to get you might as well drown in it. only food sucks, and even then there's a multitude of filling foods to fix it (burgers, spaghetti, hot dogs, sushi, shrimp, ramen noodles and ice cream being a few of them)

i had a webkinz account years ago and i had a ton off webkinz on it- its sad that they decided to delete there inactive accounts and now its gone but i understand they needed to free up the servers. the sadest part though that im upset about is that the two tree frog webkinz i had where stolen by some older kids who wanted them and lied to there mom about me giving them to them so she said "i couldnt take back a gift." so the digital webkinz of them where all i had left of them... guess if the kids a jerk there parents are jerks to oof. it been like 13 years sense that happened and im still mad.

I luckily still have all my Webkinz. They’re my only major physical collection. I have maybe 70? All accounted for and on one account. I’ve even made clothes for them like sweaters, cardigans, and vests. I was thinking of tailoring a mini trench coat for one once my leather steel-toe work boots wear out. There’s a mobile app and I paid to unlock the 2048 game permanently for on the go Kinzcash : ) I’m a stuffed animal guy and they’re the only consistently beautiful plush brand to me. I have been vehement about them being the perfect toy since I was 8 years old! 25 this month and I feel like they brighten up a space when you can hold one of them when they’re well-taken care of. I think I may have the most beautiful recorded model of the Himalayan Cat. I was always exceptionally delicate with her, so there is no felting on her fragile fur. And I played with them a LOT. I had her included in plays that I’d put on for my family. I told myself I knew I’d always want them, and during my teen years had them in huge cookware boxes on my closet’s top shelf. I packed them into my fiancé’s car a decade later and here they are in the apartment. All that I could fit in that car was coming with me but the seat next to me is all Webkinz. Amazing how few possessions one could have, then vamoose
