You know for a kids game the lore is surprisingly dark... They literally acknowledge multiple disasters throughout history where millions of people died, and go out of their way to NOT change it.

somehow i think thats a good thing. it makes these horrible events digestible for kids without “cleaning up” and filtering out any specific parts but important parts. it also got me interested in history and mythology!

Well of course they don't, you can't risk having the timeline get screwed over because of some ship sinking. And God knows how the world would look like if there were no world wars (i'm really sorry but you get the point) There's a risk the world would've been much worse.

The crazy thing is that Greg Heffley and Snoopy are canonically in Poptropica. Also Skullduggery Island was legit the most fun island

The only islands I completed were time warp, 24 carrot, and early Poptropica island. But I was lucky enough to play a bit of big Nate Island before it was taken down along with diary of a wimpy kid.

Can we please talk about how on Shrink Ray Island the kid whose room you’re in just kinda has a toy of *the* Poptropica blimp, of which there is canonically only one, so this is a toy of *your* specific blimp, even if Shrink Ray is your first island. Also, after you get shrunk down, you can use the blimp as a blimp and just kinda leave and you go back to full scale and from there you can even redo the annoying bad terrible tutorial they added and get a new real blimp and bring it back to the island and so now that kid just owns a real actual blimp. This has bothered me since I was a kid.

Sometimes choopo says he likes reading, other times he says reading sucks, some people may find this an inconsistency, but I think this just means that choopo's clone escaped his laboratory from that one video and now lives in choopo's walls and sometimes he sneakily takes choopo's place in videos

I mean, it really depends on the book. Does it match your tastes? It's f-cking great then! It doesn't? Well too bad, reading it sucks. I picked one book to perhaps expand my taste in litterature and reading it halfway through completly sucked. That wasn't because the book was bad but bc it was a genre i'm not used to.

Poptropica is popular enough to still be remembered, i'm sure a lot of other games as well, what i'm worried is the games nobody remembers playing and be truly forgotten, Flashpoint is a good source for old Flash games but it makes you wonder how much stuff is already completely forgotten and lost by everyone

Yeah fr, I thought the very faint memores of poptropica was just a fever dream until i see this video and remember everything

I remember playing Time Tangled island all the time, definitely was my favorite out of them. Also, didn't realize how much lore the books put into explaining everything, and somehow has a superior version of the TVA.

I haven't played Poptropica in over a decade, so this lore is completely news to me.

You can play the flash version of poptropica with Flashpoint Infinity!! I use it to play poptropica, emily's delicous, diner dash and the papa's games

Definitely worth checking out. I recently downloaded it and completed all the og islands that I could never complete when I was young. Look at their wiki to see the installation process.

as a big long-time fan of Poptropica, this made me so happy!! ❤ although the game/fanbase has seen better days, it still holds a lot of sentimental value to me and i enjoy making content for this niche community, as well as seeing fun vids like this! definitely would love to see more on some of the islands you didn’t mention much, like Survival, Monster Carnival, etc and perhaps more of the villains! :) oh yeah it’s also worth mentioning that in 2017, i was granted beta testing access to Poptropica Worlds and i’m considered a VIP (very important Poptropican) 🌟

That’s so awesome!! It kills me that flash is dead and they never found a proper replacement that could support the larger chunk of now missing content. I know I just sound over-nostalgic maybe, but I really would love a massive comeback of the old games like Poptropica, Webkinz, Club Penguin etc. we absolutely have the tech and capabilities, and the love for these IP’s is still clearly there 😭

i loved this game as a kid. my favorites, that i remember, were shrink ray island, the diary of a wimpy kid island(s?), time travel island, and superhero island. i very very vaguely remember playing big nate island on my computer.

This game used to be my childhood along with animal jam. I also remember that I spent a lot of time just replaying the same island over and over and eventually looked up guides for new islands (because I got bored). Sad that you can't really visit your friends in the game like you could in animal jam. I think you needed to actually buy your own lobby to do that. I also had the Poptropica DS game only to unlock that clothing set, I then sold it to a second hand game store. Kinda regret it.

i played the big nate and wimpy kid islands when they still existed, all i remember is that you blow a bubblegum bubble to get in detention in the big nate island and there's a minigame where you have to eat some nasty food without getting sick in the wimpy kid island

I was *obsessed* with Poptropica when I was like 9 and this video made me redownload the game! Big Nate island is the one that I have remembered somewhat more consistently. I LOVED that one. Same with Mystery Train. Gahhhhh I miss the old islands 😭

I loved Poptropica when I was a kid so I recently logged back onto my old account only to discover that on the free website version, they got rid of like all of the good islands: Vampire’s Curse, Skullduggery, Monster Carnival, Mystery Train, Ghost Story, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, etc. I really miss them. RIP

I don't know if you take suggestions, but I would definitely recommend making a video about _Cookie Clicker._ There's a lot of really DEEP and disturbing lore in the game that most people don't even seem to know about, and it would very much fit your style! :D

This was a good trip down memory lane. I have so many fond memories plying this game. I hope they'll re-release a definitive version of the game with all the content.

I would like to inform you of Flashpoint Archive, where you can play old flash Poptropica entirely for free and it has Big Nate Island. Just know that the loading screens are kinda long.

I used to play Poptropica all the time, I loved it so much. I still have the official guide book with tutorials on all the original islands.

I should get back into Poptropica. Definitely a childhood game of mine. I grew up with it.

The best thing is that you can track when the second book occurs based on the H.M.S Terror existing which was a real ship that tried to figure out a way through the Artic waters. The people on the Terror had to resort to cannabalism and all died which is crazy that this is lore in Poptropica. Edit to add: I am not saying Octavian is right for wanting to destroy the people who killed his girl but I am not saying he’s wrong.

i’m glad someone else likes the big nate island. that was my all-time favourite island. second favourite was the diary of a wimpy kid island (not the one in colour). big nate was my favourite childhood book series, mainly because they just distracted me from literally everything. i think you can still play the big nate island and the original diary of a wimpy kid island on the flash game version with adobe. the only problem is getting it to work properly.

I don't cry a lot during movies, but i wish i did. I've never cried at a pixar movie or any of the other movies that people usually cry at. Poptropica: the end of time made me cry. Hard.
