Fun fact: when a straight person enters into a relationship, they stop being straight and are monogamous instead. They are then unable to feel attraction to any other people. If they still do it means the relationship was just a stepping stone to being poly.

@@Ultimate_Dadzawa don't worry, it's fine. Omnisexual means being attracted to all genders but it takes a role when chosing your partner unlike pan. Yeah, bisexual and omnisexual overlap, and the label it's just a prefernce. You can like all genders and still identify ass bi. They overlap because when the bisexual manifesto was made the official defination of bi, there were already pan and omni, but they were less known. Fell free to ask any other questions❤️

I’m curious about dating bisexual people because they’re attracted to more than one gender so wouldn’t that affect them later on down in a relationship? Like your married to a man, and you’re bi but don’t you ever want to be with a woman again or sleep with a woman? Or do you just suppress those feelings?

Well, as a bi person also married to a man here's the easiest way to explain it. If you get married to a man, and you are gay, what will happen later on down the road when you find someone attractive? Will you resist the urge to cheat? The question you are asking is literally the exact same as asking and married person how they plan to control themselves when they see someone who is attractive. Bisexuality doesn't have anything to do with having a weaker sense of loyalty to one's partner. It only has to do with the number of genders we happen to find attractive people in. If I was straight, I wouldn't suddenly not find other men attractive just because I got married. Cheating is a personal decision people make, it is not a consequence of any sexuality.

My issue is yeah straight people can finds people they’re aren’t dating attractive but the difference is “bits” of the person. -A straight man married to a woman who finds another woman attractive is still attracted to a person with the same genitalia (assuming everyone is vis) -A bi man married to a woman who then finds another man attractive is attracted to an individual with different genitalia (assuming cis) *Thats the difference, you are married to a male but haven’t you had the sexual desire since your marriage to sleep with a woman who has a vagina and breasts? How would you cope with that?

I got told by a college professor that I wasn't really bisexual, I just hadn't met a guy or woman that really swept me off my feet, cause when I did, I'd make my choice. I said, that's like if I called you vegetarian if I saw you eating a salad, or a carnivore when eating steak. You can't be an omnivore, you just haven't eaten a food that sweeps you off your feet and you make your choice.

nah, the difference is that you get to see tons of unicorns in fiction (and they're always _called_ unicorns too, not "horses who don't like labels")

​@@sexhaver6953 Well, it’s mainly because bi people feel the need to constantly complain about ‘bi erasure’ and feel the need to constantly tell everyone that they are ‘bi’. I can think of no other reason for going out of your way to remind everyone that you’re ‘still bisexual’ while in a committed monogamous relationship with one gender other than attention-seeking or to express your desire to cheat on your partner. Neither are a good look.

There's nothing wrong with people thinking they are bisexual and later realising they're not, but don't call it phase please. Also you're not going questioning people who say they're straight stop doing it to lgbt+ people.

I often feel a bit alone and isolated when I personally face bi erasure. It just feels so good to be actively reminded that I’m not the only constantly annoyed pigeon 😅

As a bisexual person in a “straight passing relationship”, I have received a lot of criticism from the LGBTQ+ community discrediting my identity as bisexual. I have felt very scared to be part of a community that usually ostracizes me and questions my authenticity in regards to my sexuality and that is very emotionally draining to me. I wish that more open conversations could be had in regards to bisexual erasure in our community.

I'm a bi girl and I deadass worry about not alternating who I date enough. I've been in 4 relationships ever. My first one was with a woman and my last three have been men and now I'm talking to another bloke but part of the reason I'm not going for it yet is because people will further question how much of a 'phase' it was and despite the fact I still think "damnnnnn" everytime a hot girl expresses herself confidently (honestly the most attractive thing ever) my own brain will send me into an identity crisis too.

Someone literally told me this (I’m pan) “bisexual is only a placeholder until you find someone to date” I had no idea how to respond to them I just kinda said think what you want I’m attracted to both not one gender at a time

Wish my parents would do more like that... Instead when I came out to them my mom was like "You're probably just confused between what admiration and attraction are" and then like "As long as you don't actually get in a relationship with a woman" after I explained to her that I do indeed know the differences between my own feelings. She still loves me and I know she won't abandon me as her daughter but like... I still wish she made an effort to understand instead of complaining about other lgbt things like people being trans while in the car or at the dinner table. I had told her before about being ace (I'm demi-ace) as well and she just responded with "You'll grow out of it". Like... that's not how that works... She's a psych nurse even, and it took years for her to actually understand how she was hurting me as someone neurally divergent. This isn't all to say she's bad all around, no. She's learned a lot when it comes to my mental health and I'm proud of her for that. I love my mom. I just wish she'd do the same when it comes to understanding my sexuality and not... being phobic about it. I can't be open about many things with who I am to the people I share the same living space with and it hurts. And now I'm getting carried away here. I need to stop turning what was supposed to be a comment into a personal rambling in places like the replies to a comment on KZread.

I remember telling my parents that I was bisexual and there first question was how can I have a boyfriend then. I think till today they didn't get that me being attracted to girls doesn't mean that I am not attracted to boys. Sometimes this makes me so mad because yes I have a boyfriend but I think that for me a lot of girls are attractive . Doesn't mean I don't feel attracted to my boyfriend. I also hate when people say that my boyfriend would be poor for having a not straight girlfriend. He knows that I am attracted to both genders and he doesn't care in fact it is a running gag between us if we both think a girl is hot than we start to compete who would have a better chance with her. He knows who I am and he loves me for being that person and I love him. There is nothing wrong with our relationship just because I am bisexual. And if you're insecure about being cheated by your partner, maybe you shouldn't be in a relationship with them because you cannot trust them. And of course with the fact that if a bi person is attracted to both males and females (and all genders in between), they're attracted to 2x more people and therefore they're 2x more likely to cheat. Sadly, the first person I heard this from was a lesbian friend of mine who outright said she didn't trust bisexuals and called them "too fickle", citing the possibility that she'd be involved with a woman and then get dumped in favour of some bloke. Frankly, I couldn't see how this was supposed to be in some way "worse" than her dating a lesbian woman and being dumped for another woman or me dating a heterosexual woman and being dumped for another man. I've dated more than one bisexual woman and the reasons the relationships didn't last had nothing to do with infidelity on anyone's part. Relationships sometimes (often?) end.

As a bi girl I can tell you a story about a time when I was dating a dude. Everytime we met someone he used to introduce me as his straight gf and Everytime I corrected him but he said bc I’m dating him he must be straight. right after our 3 month anniversary I found out he had been cheating on me for the last 2 months. I invited that girl without him knowing to one of our nights out and told him us too where dating (he had lied to her and said he was single so she was glad to help, as she was somehow also bi) and he asked us both: but if you are dating me and her you must like both, so what are you? So we said in sinc: we’re bisexual and both broke up with him. we dated for 8 months after that

As a bi woman I've had a lot of discrimination against it from the lesbian community in the dating pool

When I read this I pictured myself throwing a smoke bomb after the “exactly” and then rubbing out a door Thank you that made me giggle

the beginning part reminds me of that one time this one guy on youtube said “my sister in law is getting married” and his entire comment section was like “to who? your brother?” completely forgetting that the guy could be married and his wife’s sister (aka sister in law) was getting married

This video reminds me of a time I was hanging out with my boyfriend and wearing my pride flag when someone came up to me and said “you can’t wear the pride flag, you’re straight”, then I had to very awkwardly explain to them that I’m pan and a Demi girl. And I will never forget the look of discuss on their face as they said “no you’re a straight girl because you’re dating a boy and you have breast”, at this point my boyfriend stepped in and told them to screw off. I was both confused and mad at that person

so one of my bffs is bisexual, but for some time, she was questioning whether she was lesbian or bisexual because ppl were telling her she isn't ACTUALLY appart of the community since she apparently is "partially" straight. ppl were making her think that her sexuality is not valid. and another thing that she told me once was, "what if i'm actually straight? and i am just lying to myself?" it literally broke my heart. bisexuals go through so much shit so moral of the story believe bisexuals when they say they are bisexual and go on with your day.

I'm very comfortable with being bisexual the label fit what I feel but I still haven't had a serious relationship with either gender so that "what if I'm gay/what if I'm straight" thing swings back and forth like every day 😅😅

the "what if I'm lying to myself" and "what if I'm faking it" hits so hard. So many bisexuals deal with that it's like we all have some mild form of imposter syndrome or something

That's suprer relatable. The constant "what ifs" of bisexuality. Especially when you have time never been in a relationship with anyone. In my case, I'm somewhere on the ace spectrum so figuring out my sexuality is a double trouble.

Feel that. I was in a relationship with a guy once (at the time I thought I was a girl but turns out I'm nonbinary) and people from inside of the community told me that I wasn't really pan, that I had "chosen" to be straight so I wasn't part of the community anymore

True story coming. One time I was chatting with someone and the topic of sexualities came up. They said that only girls can be bi. I responded with a confused look and just pointed at myself and said “Errr, hello. Allow me to introduce myself.”. They didn’t get what I was talking about and asked what I meant so I clarified that I am indeed a (very) bisexual male. They then had THE AUDACITY to say “No, you’re not. Men can only be gay or straight. That’s just how it works.”. At this point im just done with the conversation so finish it with “Well my thoughts about both Richard Madden and Emilia Clarke would firmly disagree with you on that.” and walk off. I don’t understand why some people feel the need to tell people how they feel about things, especially such personal things as sexuality and gender. Makes no sense

Exactly, I am dating A bi men and I got comments Like “I’M not not homophobic but Like you know you are dating A gay men Who is in the closet Right?” “Are you afraid he’s gonna figure out that he is actually gay?” Like it’s so stupid, I always Just face Palm and walk off most of the time.

When he started off the video with "I'm not really bisexual", I just paused and contemplated my whole life for a sec-

I’m extremely glad this channel exists. Personally, I’m still trying to figure myself out and am currently identifying as bi. It’s great to have a spot that validates what I think I might be while also validating all others.
