On thicker stock you can double or treble the biscuits up.... one above the other...creating a quite strong joint....been doing it for years... Or smaller biscuits for tennons on frames etc...

Thought biscuits are used for aligning boards and it’s the glue on the entire edge that joins the two.
Brilliant I’ve never used mine since I bought it…a radiator cover project that got shelved 😂 time to use it. Thanks for the inspiration to dig it out. I can think of lots of potential jobs. 👍👍👍
