@@zefflepopZ While I agree, I believe the way the competitive players see the game is not relevant to the more casual playerbase. For example at my level, hopkicks are broken while at pro level a generic d4 becomes a good poke precisely because people aren't as hopkick-happy. Also I like to encourage people to form their own opinion instead of blindly listening to the better players. The latest case being Feng's placement in tierlists. In past seasons I've spent hours arguing with people how annoying he can be, only to hear "he's not even A tier, get good". All it took was a new combo extender to now hear the same people complain about stuff he had since season 1. I don't like to pretend I understand everything the pros are talking about, but to be honest I also might be sometimes trying too hard to differentiate myself lol

@zefflepopZ I main devil Jin since tekken 5 and I have been playing and studying devil Jin since then . He is NOT good as of now. He has a lot of weaknesses

I admire the knowledge you have on Tekken 7 or Tekken in general. Very unique setups and punishes. Also, that Jin user with his ZEN 1+2 arrangements were nice (11:26 and 11:38).

Not to mention the overall fighting game prowess shown. This person breaks down the psychology of different player types and stuff and shows you why certain techniques are going to work against them, that's something that you don't even need great mechanics or character knowledge to deploy. It shows awesome adaptability and analytical skills.

Also, do you reckon you could do a section in one of your videos one day, about when you irritate a king player, so they start spamming combination grabs when they get mad? I'm a low level player and what i noticed whenever i go up against a king player is that if they think they should be winning and you take the round, they go from trading blows to almost entirely trying to kill you with grab chains. I always find it funny.

Your matchup knowledge is actually insane, that is very rewarding with DJ since he has the tools for punishment. I think your're underrated but i think with improved execution and better combos you can easily hit ttg Friendly tip: stop using b21 as a combo ender or wall combo, the damage is so awful. Use bf21 delaydd 2 or 1,2 b4. If you want max damage then you gotta use cd1 which has to be timed as well to get the unscaled damage. Fun video btw!

Honestly online Asukas are getting predictable 😅

I would love to see you try experimenting more with FC mix ups. It's a Japanese Law player I know called Double, this guy would literally sit in your face in crouch for 3-4 long secs in tournament(in his earlier career mostly) lol. He would do a lot of different things while crouched as well. I've experimented with it a bit but sure you can expand on it better. I noticed that holding crouch does throw people autopilot/patterns out of whack, they kind of just sit there staring at me for a while. It can change opponents playstyles rather well. Even makes passive opponents more offensive in most cases. I'm still trying to figure it out.

Oh yeah, that sounds like an interesting neutral gameplan! A couple of things I noticed : - Patient players tend to wait quite long until they are like "oh I should probably do a mid", which is a good window for a CH tool if you get the right timing... Essentially playing Steve lol - If you have FC mixups it often makes people duck as well, even when you don't have the frame advantage. With Julia I once techrolled a Kazuya hellsweep and ducked expecting a second one... The Kazuya stopped and ducked like "oh shit, bow and arrow" xD Also makes people respect your dickjabs on block and guess for the mixup instead of just hitting you with a big fat mid. I could definitely find some stuff

@@friendlykoala Yeah the CH from crouch are satisfying, really amps up the mind games. Even with chars like Dragunov I do the crouch hold, I just crouch cancel time to time and go for the tackle from FC lol. Look forward to you trying it out more.

A super underrated move is devil jin's df 1+2, it's a I20 range 2.9 mid that is -4 on block (recovers in crouch) and +7 on hit (forces crouch). Ch knockdown into microdash CD 3 (can launch if they backroll at right timing) and beats all delayed wakeup options besides laying down and standing up. The biggest weakness is linearity (tracks ssl a bit and completely liner to ssr) but will clip people that like to ss into a button (jab df1 etc), they have to either be side walking or a ss with no buttons to whiff. There are a few consistent ways to get the unscaled heaven's gate ender, Laser cannon (df2 version) and quick back dash into b21 the second one is 22 (high wallsplat) immediate b21.

Uf4 had knock down on hit and you could get a db2 or b4 after it, the nerf was a big deal, also it was a good panic move

I didn't think he was weak...but he was certainly a bit lackluster as a sidepiece for me after the UF4 nerf. Enjoyable watch, though. Haven't touched T7 since I played T8, but your videos tend to make me want to play again. Still, think I'll just wait until I can play T8 again.

Dang the Transitions are Fire as usual keep it up as usual but dude despite me being an devil jin enjoyer I'm surprised on the things you did on this video I guess you learn a lot indeed lelz. But seriously that's insane and I'm surprised that B 3 isn't used cause I sometimes spam that if opponents just want to spam something that is close range lelz. But I suppose it won't hurt to ask but any tips? The last time I played devil jin that was somewhat decent was tekken 6 and that was a long time ago and I was gonna main him again until me and my fighting game buddy decided to troll a bit and change mains (he's a Hworang main) for context because we didn't have fun after playing our "Mains" we decided to play Bryan vs Steve Fox because of the Gatling Gun punch lelz (Me doing Bryan him doing Steve fox) and ofc it changed again because the Mf bought Kuni and I just played Noctics and Boi Noctis is Easy af but dang man Kunimitsu is just a Whole different level of annoying indeed lelz And yes because he achieved his Goal rank on Kuni now his practicing Kazumi while I'm gonna do Heihachi cause for the memes but still man I might go brain dead for juggling too much characters because for the lelz xD. Anyways sorry for the long story again Keep up the good work, Do it at your own pace and ofc Have fun while doing so can't wait for your next video on other characters with whacky stuff in line.

Right, I could have used his b3, but I usually like my backswings to launch, also if I want a wallsplat he already has many pushback moves at the wall to cheese the range xD If you want tips, i don"t know at what level you are playing but for the lelz with your buddy I guess you can just use this video for reference... Also I mentionned b12 and f1+2, I completely forgot about them while recording ngl, but these are fun, you can just keep cancelling them until the first hit connects. Generally I'd say his tools are much stronger when paired with good spacings, so an emphasis on movement will help :D

Let's just say Green ranks to at least somewhat early yellow if I just grinded casually while my friend is orange because you can't go Wrong with Kunimitsu indeed but on terms of "Power level" we're pretty on par although honestly his more better than me but I just decide to do stupid sht that he'll fall for so either way balance as all things should be lelz.

I'm currently working on Steve, Miguel, Kuma and the 2D characters. Then I got Marduk, Lidia, the Williams sisters, Noctis, Katarina, Armor King, Kazuya, Leo, M. As a casual player myself. I picked up dj post nerf and everything he has is great but they went to hard on his no wall damage. Damage at the wall was needed but alot of his base combos no wall besides electric and ss2 its really hard to break 60 damage while playing kazuya or heihachi i can easily get 70+ damage from most launches easy mode. But i dont main devil i play him because he is fun.

Yeah, his damage without walls is a bit lackluster but if we compare him to other Mishimas, he also has the best wall carry. I'm fine with the nerfs, but I keep thinking some moves should be better than they have been since season 1. Particularly WS2 and d3+4 (the recovery on launch is horrendous lol)

My thoughts on this character The worst Mishima? Easily Bottom character? Not even close Outside of high level I seriously do not understand how a character with one of the best jabs in the game that can transition into a confirmable knockdown, the fastest fundamental Tekken character launcher in the game in both speed and recovery, a hellsweep hats maniacally difficult to step in a game with already horrible movement, amazing punishment (you literally knockdown or launch with every single punish option with this character), decent poking (also the damage of it too), a throw game in a game where even an infant that has yet to turn 1 year old can mash their way out of, decent options to cover steppers/walkers and also being able to play multiple playstyles (poke, 50/50, turtle or a combination of those) be a bottom tier character

Yeah absolutely, even putting the cheese potential aside he still is a great character. Maybe not as viable for competitive play, because other characters can do similar results while being less demanding in execution and movement, but he is totally fine to enjoy online 😃

It doesn't do as much damage as a full combo, but it has some uses, like on breakable floors with a wall to your side... Or just fast damage to prevent people from plugging in time 😆

Amazing video 👀❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 I did play devil jin to be honest his very solid uf4 nerf is umm quite annoying 😢 but he have other tools to play with. His ewgf is amazing as a recovery and track its way better than kaz and Hei. And about his combo's you have to spend time with, same goes to wall combo's getting the cd1 max damage is not easy it requires precise timing. Otherwise you'll stick to bf2 1 2 or 1 2 B4. My point is DJ is pretty solid but if we took it on high level play his difficult to utilise. ✋️

You're making it out like DVJ is not the weakest Mishima right now, but you're just playing against bad players. No one on PC past Fujin fall for fake unblockables or cd1 extensions. People on PS4 really are worse than on PC...

According to my observations, PSN players are about 2 ranks behind PC players, the level of play is not that different. Devil Jin is probably the weakest Mishima at competitive level, but I said he is viable online precisely because most people are just cheesing each other and he has the tools to compete with that cheese. Also, looking at the gameplay, I swear, the players you chose play nothing like people on PC. Then again, blue ranks on PC is mostly TGOs and TGPs playing their subs. You rarely get to fight an actual blue rank anymore. And yes, I am guilty of this, too.

@@TheNerffreak11 oh yeah, there's that too. On PC you start seeing a lot of players from god ranks playing a sub in blue ranks, on PS4 you really start seeing them at around Yaksa/Ryujin. That's about the level where people are getting good, where a couple of native blue rank players can survive against the god rank players using their subs. But honestly I'm really making people look worse than they actually are in my videos lol On PC there's Brawlpro doing silly things, sometimes it works and people are like "how the hell is that guy at X rank?". Well I'm essentially doing that, on a larger scale, only keeping the stupidest highlights xD

Devil Jin and Heihachi feel like masher characters when playing against them.

@@premiumr98 From whom I have faced they just press buttons on buttons, like random hellsweep, u4, etc. It takes a while to get adjusted to their randomness. Though when playing Asuka they easy wins.
