That parry alone has made me lose hair in ranked for how spammable and safe it is
02:34 You crouching low and your opponent taking time to crouch low and dash to do the slide, while you were still ducking is the perfect example of a committed individual.
High asf rn and this vid got me wishing i grew up with tekken so i could compete at a high level without having to learn 5200+ moves frame data and which way to sidestep them :( such a cool game though and i like your editing style its relaxing

Glad you're enjoying it! Honestly the competing level is out of reach for so many people even after growing up with the game, I believe the best way to approach the playing experience is to simply look for enjoyment. Unlike pro players whose job is literally to win tourneys, I'd rather play casually to avoid taking the stress of whether or not I'll win a game on top of the stress I already get from everyday life xD

@@friendlykoala yeah that’s fair enough, personally i can’t really get into fighting games unless i can play at the highest level though. That being said, i noticed you have no Akuma videos. Maybe pop one out for the SF gang? Especially since SF6 is so popular now, it could get good engagement potentially.

@@Silverado-pq6xe oh yeah, the character has already been requested, and I'm planning to work on him soon enough 👌
Glad to see you again, nice video and yeah Jin is quite the struggle. My whole mentality was to "live and die by the hellsweep", something a Jin main wouldn't advise at all lol and almost everyone can block Jins hellsweep but I found out my own special ways. I had two Hellsweep tactics, one where I would do a "preemptive hellsweep" at range 2 or 3 to catch my opponent off guard coming in or even attacking. If my hellsweep whiffed I would do the extension follow up(4~3), time to time. The second tactic which works rather well is the "deep dash hellsweep", all mishimas hellsweeps can be SUPER delayed form a crouch dash. I would mix the hell sweep from a deep dash with Jin's crouch WS options. WS+1,2 is soo satisfying to use in this "deep dash" mix up, as it's super delayable and the first hit is reasonably plus(+5 or 6 I believe), and the second hit can be canceled for mind games. Most people are eager to either step or press buttons after a ws+1,2(as it's +2 on hit) but a ws+1,2 alone into magic 4 gets them every time lol. Then when I did the "deep dash" hellsweep enough I would start mixing in the faster crouch dash hellsweep for mind fucking.
@friendlykoala
11 ай бұрын
I really like the second one lol Might look unimpressive in game but I'm loving the chess logic behind it 😆 Timing is like both everything and almost everything, it's nice to think of how and why a delay can work instead of just unleashing the attack at random timings 👌
Definitely worth the wait, glad to see you back my guy!

If you consider trying Devil Jin he has some weird stuff aswell. Many players know he can get up into fly by pressing u3+4 while on the ground but not that many know that he can do it while his head is towards the opponent. If you press u3+4 in that state he will go into fly backwards. It is very useful to catch running opponents with fly 3 or enter the "funny" backturn state. Due to Devil Jin being considered "honest" Mishima character in the community no-one teaches his backturn stuff but he actually has a lot. Firstly DJ can do generic backturn hopkick, d3 low, all those moves. Secondly he can use u2+4 while backwards. Also ub2+4 and uf2+4 will work too if you press direction input and 2+4 at same frame. Thidrly and most importantly Devil Jin CAN PARRY while in backturn. Again b input and 2+4 should be pressed at same frame and yes it will absorb damage and can hit the opponent (even tho back attack range is smaller). And finally he has a tool to space control - his 1+4 string works during backturn state. It covers a lot of space which is used as backdash and if the opponent is not directly at the back but slightly to a side the last hit of the string d4 (the sweep) can allign with the opponent and launch. If you consider making Devil Jin video feel free to include some stuff from here. It will be more "funny" experience.

Probably because the stun is breakable, also that false axis realignment is a very obscure mechanic. I think I'm the only person on KZread who covered the topic
can realign a slightly off axis combo with the first two hits of laser cannon and then go with full damage b2,3,3 s!
Yep Jin is fun to use but is just hard to execute well especially if you're trying to learn all the characters Minus and Plus moves it might just be an nail to the coffin at that point. Not to mention just wtf are the Jin users here at "my side" of the match ups they just ki charge spam on the end of the round is just insane man lelz. Truly lives the bm of them all or so as some considers anyways but anyways dang I didn't knew Jin had that Tekken 4 wall "stun" jank you truly are an insane tekken player even if you aren't busted as some but still is pretty great despite that keep up the good work while having fun doing so and of course do it at your own pace.

There's tech catches like this for every Mishima now😮 Kaz and Hei shared one, and Jin now has his. I'm gonna hit the lab to find out more about this false realignment setup cause that looks dumb to use and funny at the same time and I want to put it on the tournament circuit and cheese a round on someone with it😂.
@friendlykoala
11 ай бұрын
@@enigmasdestiny1355 Well I can give you my notes for that : you can perform a false axis realignment setup with b21 on standard size characters, and jab into b21 on Bryan, Heihachi, M.Raven, Steve and Paul. Doesn't work on small females, Shaheen, Geese, Bob, Dragunov, Miguel, Jack, Gigas, grapplers, Eddy, Feng, Negan and Fahk (can't tell about Ganryu, I didn't have him when I was doing the research). If false realignment setups don't work you can usually get at least a wallsplat setup with the jab into b21, then jumpkick into 1+2 or 24.

How many players actually fall for the off axis delayed uf 3? I tried it out a couple of days ago but most people either stay down or hold back to get out of their stun animation
@friendlykoala
11 ай бұрын
It's not like I tried to pull it off every single match, but out of 500 matches it worked about 15 times. Also, the opponent is more likely to fall for it when the wall combo looks finished, and not like a setup. b21 as a wall combo might be too fishy, whereas jab into b21 looks more like a crappy combo xD If I tried to do it against every opponent, removing rematches, bad character hitboxes (doesn't work on big characters), particular matchups, techroll side and infinite stages from the equation, I'd say it works on about 20% of opponents. It's not a lot, but once you notice the opponent is techrolling after a normal combo that involves no oki (typically db223 with Jin), your odds certainly go up.
@senecaleter529

@@friendlykoala Thanks for the elaborate answer. I myself am a King main, up until now I just used the generic 4 before going for the delayed uf3. I'll try to look for another crappy wall combo without oki, the first one that comes to mind i b2,4.
